Question about Philips Magnavox 51MP392H Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

No picture The sound still works on the TV, but we have no picture. It is less than 3 years old, but not under warranty anymore. Any suggestions would be appreciated, or estimates on how much it would cost to get repaired. Thanks

Most likely the Li-Fi lamp is bad. If it is and your TV is less than 5 years old the lamp is covered under warranty by Panasonic but must be replaced by a Panasonic dealer. If its less than 2 years the labor is also covered. If its less than 5 years old and it appears the lamp isn't firing I would contact Panasonic to have a technician look it.

My lamp light is on my tv - I get sound n

If this is an LCD projection set and the "lamp" light is on the front, then the lamp needs to be changed. No, these are not covered under warranty. All of these lamps have lifetimes. The lamp has failed. Replace it being careful to completely close the access door. There are interlocks that prevent the set from working if the door is not completely closed.

My Sansung HL-S4266W just shut off one evening while watching. It had all 3 lights blinking and it had been over 3 years since buying the tv. I replaced the bulb, nothing changed the tv would still turn on...

this could be the color engine or a power supply problem. My suggestion is to not put anymore money into this tv, its an old technology and you will be replacing parts for it every 3 or so years. eventially the parts will not be able to be found. Go get a new tv, save yourself money and headaches.

Toshiba 43VH9UA Rear projection

When was the unit repaired last? If it is doing the same thing and is only 5 years old, it sound like a bigger problem than just what was repaired. I own a 56" projection TV and mine is 6 years old and I have yet to have a problem with it...(I shouldn't have said that...) If I were you, I'd call Toshiba and explain the situation and that it has been repaired once already under warranty. Chances are, they'll be able to help you to your satisfaction. I once purchased a JVC stereo receiver from Circuit City and had to take it in to be repaired 5 times and the warranty had expired after my second trip up there, but they were nice enough to repair it - free of charge - the other 3 times. Toshiba seems to be a company that stands behind their product. Good luck! Hope this was helpful...

New (12/2007) 1080p Samsung 46" LCD TV. Flickering white horizontal lines on entire left screen. Double picture. What's up?

At this point there is not much you can do.
If this LCD is less then a year old, I would suggest to contact the manufacturers to get it fix under their warranty.
Good Luck.

We own a Toshiba Regza 42" direct view LCD TV. We have owned this since last November (bought as a Christmas gift). This TV was working great until last night (7/7). Powered it on and for a split...

Unfortunately there might no be a fix for this type of failure unless the LCD is open and perform a few measurements in the circuitry. Since the TV is less then a year old, I would suggest to contact the vendor or manufacturer to have it repair under warranty, most electronics devices carry one year warranty.
Let me know if you require further assistance.

Green flashing light - no picture

If the green power light is blinking and you have no picture, then your light bulb has burned out and needs to be replaced. It is not a cheap bulb to replace. If the TV is less than 1 year old it should be covered by the warranty
