SOURCE: Modular Home Wiring Schematics

I disagree totally. Nobody wastes copper wire, especially idiots (because they make less money). Thoose extra wires are VITAL. The way to identify them would be to get a long extension cord, long enough to reach main breaker box. TURN OFF MAIN POWER SWITCH TO ENTIRE HOME. Make sure the "line" or "hot" wires are dead (since there are two boxes looped together, this house system may not be dead just from a switch). Once you are sure nothing is hot, use a VtVm to loop through the extension cord to each wire in main breaker box (top and bottom of each line/switch) and the bundle of wires in stove/oven box, testing continuity on each one. This will identify exactly where each wire DOES go... unfortunately, then you must determine where it SHOULD go (and sounds to me like those answers will be quite different) Be sure to get a VALID ground, since the stove is used near water. On mobile homes, this means hammering a long rebar or (specific, commercial copper grd rod) into the soil.

How to get Braun curling iron to heat?

Delilah, if it is a new curling iron and you plug it into a known good working outlet and does not heat up, it is defective. Return it to store for replacement or refund. If it is older and out of warranty, it is probably burnt out limit switch or may need rewired with new plug and cord(probably not cost effective, unless you can test and change)

NOT HEATING

Try with another outlet and see if there is power, If not it is possible that the main wire had snapped, the plug has an open connection or finally the element or the heating cut off switch has failed.- normally a bi-metal switch. using a multimeter can test the continuity so as to confirm this case.

Home electrical

Hi Sammy,
It sounds like there is a direct short on the circuit. Before going any further, check other outlets on this circuit and make sure they do not have anything plugged in that is not expected and does not work. Check OUTSIDE your home, basement, garage, etc. as these locations require GFI protection - and may be fed from the bathroom outlet. After removing devices that are plugged into the circuit, attempt a reset of the breaker once more.
It is not likely that the circuit breaker has failed (but is a possibility). The outlet in the bathroom is probably a GFI type. You can determine this if it has "Test" and "Reset" buttons on it. You should be able to press the Reset button in fully even with power off. After resetting, you can attempt the resetting the circuit breaker as you have described above. If it stays on, try pressing the "Test" button on the outlet. Doing so should trip power to the outlet (and causing the "Reset" button to pop out) but leave the circuit breaker "On". If the breaker also trips, the GFI outlet is suspect and might need to be replaced.
At this point, a qualified electrician should be consulted to locate and clear the wiring fault.

My Icon bathroom fan does not work by timer I have changed timer , transformer and electrics have been checked (with certificate) What next !

Which timer do your have?
Not all timers work with fan motors?
Are you adding a new bath fan? Or are you installing a new timer?

What transformer what checked? A transformer is used to change voltage. For example you can plug a Malibu outdoor-light transformer into ordinary 120V outlet and the transformer changes voltage to 12 volts so you can safely operate lights stuck into the ground around bushes. Or your phone recharges using transformer that converts ordinary 120Volt into very low voltage entering your phone.
Practically every electronic device in your home has a transformer ... microwave, TV, computer ... but I don't know why a bath fan would have a transformer.
Add a comment, and I will respond.

We just moved into a new house, and whenever I use

It sounds like it could be one of the following issues:

1. Bad wiring to the bathroom receptacle - this should be a GFCI outlet.

2. There is an overload somewhere on the same circuit - try the dryer with nothing else turned on.

3. The hair dryer may be bad or have a bad cord, plug, etc. Hair dryers can also become plugged (the air inlet screen) and overheat.

4. There could be loose or other bad wiring somewhere in the circuit.

If you are not familiar with working with electricity, it would be best to call a qualified electrician. They are the pros and can correct the problem.
