SOURCE: When I pulll the knob on the washing machine, their is no water not running out

Can you hear it "clicking" when you pull the knob (not the knob sound itself, but the water solenoid itself)?

If you can hear it, then make sure the machine has a water supply (hot / cold). You would be surprised at how many people accidentally turn off the water supply and forget about it.

Try changing the wash settings to cold/cold, etc (the opposite of whichever one you're using now) and see if it will fill.

Let me know the results, and I can help you further.

SOURCE: How to remove the washer cycle selection/start-stop knob on a Whilpool Heavy Duty Thin Twin stacked washer dryer

I believe the selector knob on a Whirpool just has to be turned counter-clockwise with the selector pushed in. It will spin off the shaft and then the outer indicator dial will pull off. The shaft also has a keyed slot that will only allow the dial to be removed and installed one way, so there should be no question as to how it goes back on.

Was there a reason as to why you are removing the washer selector knob? If this is a simple matter of replacing a broken water temperature selector, you shouldn't have to remove any of the control knobs to gain access to the selector. The entire front panel comes off by removing the screws holding it in place. That way you can access the broken selector from behind the front panel much easier. Just remove the panel right above the washer top (under the dryer) and it should expose the front panel mounting screws. Remove these screws and the front panel comes off. Just make sure the unit is unplugged before you begin. I hope this helps you. Let me know if you need further assistance.

SOURCE: Kenmore top loader 500 - water does not run when

Either a bad water valve or pressure switch. If you can't get cold or hot, it most likely is the pressure switch.

SOURCE: Hi, when pulling the select knob, no water, just the agitator.

Bad timer, the timer is not telling your system the correct setting and just jumping to a setting of its choice. Once the timer is replaced everything will work just fine.

Water won't cut off when filling... Hoover Galaxy A6834

Hi Steveb6723 ,Just read your posting. Now here is a little test I need you to preform so I can tell if the problem is your water valves or your pressure switch system. Now 1st turn it to a normal cycle and only select the cold fill.Pull the knob out so it starts to fill. Now turn the machine off at the power point,Does the water stop filling straight away?If it does select hot fill and pull the knob. When it starts filling on hot water turn the power off again and see if the water
stops straight away. Please reply and tell me if the hot or cold water continued to flow when the power was off.Looking forward to your reply.

Problems Descaling

Hi You have finished the first part of the descale process if that machine is like all the others. Rinse out your water tank and put fresh water in it. Then put it back on the machine and close then open the knob for steam and let it run the whole tank out. When it is finished the descale light will disappear and your green light will blink and the water light will be steady. Refill the water tank and close and then open the steam knob to prime so the water light will go out.
