The same happened with me, but here is what I did and it worked. I took the new battery out and set the setting on the bottom of the scale to Stone, put the battery back in. Now when I put the battery back in I made sure the plus on the battery was the last part to go in, it faced the part inside the casing that needs to be pushed back when you take out the battery. Once it was in I put the setting back to LBs and it worked. Don't know how but I was just as frustrated and it worked.

Sorry there is no reet button. Make sure the battery contacts are still making good contact. If so try to calibrate the balance. If that does not work the balance should be replaced.

It is the internal problem with display unit.Just open the case check for loose connection to the display board.Clean the socket and place it tight again.If still the problem persist you have to replace the socket cable.
