Washing machine balance problem

Since Washer Machine have become so Light in weight it is very critical to adjust the feet on the bottom of the machine so they are all touching evenly on the floor.. I had the same issue with my new Top Loader after retiring my 40 year old Washer. That old Kenmore weighed 2x what this new one weighs. I bet I don't get 40 years out of this toy

How do I take apart my washerr

How much does it weigh ? If it is beyond 33 kg avoid lifting it directly. Search for handles provided on either sides of washer. Just lift it slightly and ask someone to insert wooden platform under it. Now place washer on wooden platform and pull platform gradually. Avoid jerks during motion as washer may fall apart.

Maytag is clicking when its going to weigh clothes and spin at the end of cycle

It's a faulty relay on the control board. If you remove the top panel and remove the boards you will find a spot burned out on one of the relays. If you know how to solder then you might be able to repair it.

I move all the clothes around in the washer, leaving the center exposed. Sometimes it's just that a heavy towel or sweater has weighed one side down.

Why does my washing machine have a knocking sound when spinning?

  • Try readjusting the clothes inside the washer tub and distribute them more evenly. When one side of the washer has more weight than one side and then is soaked with water it weighs that side of the tub down more and when it spins the tub bangs the side of the washer.
  • Get a level and make sure you plum it front to back and side to side to make sure it is nice and level.
