Can not open up attachments in adobe 8.1

when I click on the adobe doc to open , a windows pop up comes up on the screen:
''Adobe Reader 8.1 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.''

I have tried to load the lastest adobe but the problem is still occuring
hope you can help

This one's very easy. Simply install Foxit Reader. It is much faster and has no errors. Then try opening the file again: http://mirrors.foxitsoftware.com/pub/foxit/reader/desktop/win/3.x/3.0/enu/FoxitReader30_enu_Setup.exe
