Wells fargo online banking

My mother died Dec 26th 2013, I went to the bank to close her account and was told they couldn't release her funds because I was not her beneficary, even though I produced a letter stating I was her POA ,an orginal Death Certificate, her debit card and told them what the pin # was.If this is true why didn't they ask for these things when you open an account. It is REAL SAD the poor people have to go through this at a time like this. What if people are depending on money to pay for the funeral. Please change and HELP PEOPLE, GIVE THEM A CHOICE TO HAVE A BENEFICARY,MOST PEOPLE DON'T KNOW THAT. I went home and call everyone I knew and they were all shocked to hear that. Please Help. I can be reached at 754-321-2082 Thank you Gail

That 1.98 transaction is for verification purposes only. You will be able to get the 4-digit PIN on Monday and then you'll be OK. Still, you don't need to verify your account in order to pay for that service.

Welcome to Fixya.

Bank account transactions are considered sensitive and very confidential. The Fixya team understand how frustrating your situation can be but the best resource (and solution) is to contact BPI directly through their hotline : 89-100 (Philippines).

BPI will validate your profile/account through their phone screening and would ask your some personal questions to clarify your ID. From there, you can inquire about the branch name, as well as "BSB" and other related technical terms that they use.

Hope this helps, Thanks for using Fixya.

SOURCE: I have money debited from

Cupid.com is a website for singles who post profiles and pictures to try and find new people to date. Visiting the website is free. Viewing the profiles is too. They have two membership options that cost money if you want to put your profile and picture on their website to try and get a date. Their memberships are a subscription based service, which means that they require monthly payments in order to continue using their website. When you subscribe and purchase a membership, you agree to allowing your credit card to be debited. This is called "repeat billing".

If you want to cancel your membership, first you have to stop the repeat billing and then you remove your profile from their website and delete it. Then you send a request to cancel membership and your account will be closed.

To start this process, go to their website and log into your account using the user name and password assigned when you started their services. If you don't know your user name and/or password, then you will need to contact their customer service department for assistance.

You can contact their customer service department by email or phone. Here is their contact information:

email support-fr@cupid.com, or call 1-800-481-3117

Here are the instructions on how to cancel the repeat billing and membership on Cupid.com:

If you want to cancel your membership before your billing has expired, you will need to cancel any repeat billing first. You will have full access to the site until the payment expires. You can then remove your account, i.e. remove your profile from the website.

To cancel your Repeat Billing:
1.Click on the "My account" link in the top menu.
2.Click on 'Billing History' link.

Remember, cancelling your repeat billing (cancelling your account) does not mean we have removed your profile from the website. To remove your profile you will need to click on the 'Remove Account' button once you have cancelled your repeat billing.

I hope this helps?

How do I make a payment on a Wells Fargo credit card?

you can do it several ways. go into a wells fargo bank and present your card and make a payment using either cash, check or another form of payment other then the wells fargo card you are paying on. you can call the number on the back of the card and make a telephone payment, this will require either a checking account or a debit card which the representative will withdrawls funds from using an electronic transer or an ACH (automated clearing house) or Electronic Payment from your account. the last way is to mail in the payment to the address you have on file for the card co. if you don't have the address call the number on the back of the card and set up your payment.

Why haven`t I received any SSI or SOCIAL SECURETY BENEFITS SINCE DECEMBER 2013?

If there is a local branch I reccomend that you go in and speak to someone at the bank itself. If this continues to happen you can also look to close the account and move to a different bank. I would also call social security and inform them of the problem if you are unable to resolve it at the bank an seek reimbursement for back missing funds. Give them the new infomation from the new bank's account and they will let the old bank refund the money to them, however you will need to try and get the old account closed and likely you will be able to recover the funds at that time and without having SS do anything but change to a new bank and new account. This all applies only if you get direct deposit.

Online banking log in

Many banks have introduced online banking services in recent years.
These systems offer a high level of convenience to bank customers, allowing them to perform many banking functions from the privacy of their homes via the Internet.
Most online banking systems offer the ability to get account information, pay bills, make transfers between accounts, stop payment on checks and view current and previous statements.
If you've not yet enrolled in an online banking program but are considering doing so, the following information may be of assistance.

Selection

If you bank at a small bank or savings and loan, you may want to switch to a larger institution for your online banking needs.
Online banking systems are complex and expensive to implement and maintain, and smaller banks generally don't have the funds and other resources necessary to offer top-notch online banking services.
By contrast, large banks like Citibank, Chase, Bank of America and Wells Fargo have had online systems for many years, have steadily improved them, and have the resources to expand their functions and maintain them well.
Also, you'll want to choose a bank that does not charge for online banking.
The banks named above all offer online banking for free.
Some banks require you to fill out a special application to enroll in their online banking systems but many do not.
The banks named in the previous section all allow any customer to access their online banking systems without a special application.
The first time you log on, you'll be prompted to enter your identifying information, such as your account number, ATM card number or Social Security number.
You'll be asked to choose a user name and password, which should both be items that you can easily remember.
Your password should be different from the PIN code that you use at the bank's ATMs.
Account Setup
You'll probably want to use your online banking system to pay bills, so you should gather all of your regular bills and set aside some time to enter the information about them into the system.
Also, make a list of your other expenses, like your rent or mortgage, car loan and other obligations for which you may not receive a statement, and write down the addresses where you normally send your payments.
Then go online and enter the data into the system.
Many online banking systems are already set up to pay many merchants, banks and other creditors electronically, and most have a search capability that allows you to find these organizations on their systems.
You probably will not need to enter the payment address for these organizations, but you'll still need to enter the correct account number from your statement.
Security
Make word documents of bank details BSB and Account numbers and save them in my documents to copy and paste them in when logging in to avoid spyware and keyloggers.
Recurring Payments
Most online banking systems have the ability to make recurring payments of a fixed amount at a regular interval that you specify.
This is especially useful when paying things like your rent, mortgage or car loan, which are usually the same amount each month and due at the same time of the month.
If you schedule a recurring payment, you won't need to worry about making your payment each month, as it will be made automatically for you.
However, if the amounts and/or due dates change, you'll need to go online and adjust them accordingly.
Other Functions
Virtually all online banking systems offer the ability to transfer money between accounts at the bank, or even to and from accounts at other institutions.
If you've made a practice of putting money in a savings account on regular basis, you can usually set up a recurring transfer for that amount, or, if you prefer, you can do it on an ad hoc basis.
Many systems offer a variety of other functions, such as obtaining copies of statements and canceled checks, issuing a stop payment, and ordering new checks.
Once you sign up for online banking, spend some time exploring your system and acquaint yourself with the various functions it offers.

I'm from the Philippines and I always want to buy online but the problem is i don't have a Credit Card and Debit Card. The only thing that i have is Bank Account. So i can use PayPal? How?

Hi there,
Paypal uses funds that are added to your Paypal account or withdrawn from your bank account/credit card/debit card.
If the only thing you have is a Filipino bank account (BDO, RCBC etc ) you can withdraw funds from the bank account to your Paypal account.
To do so, you must first add your bank account to your Paypal account by going to Paypal, where it says My Account > Profile > Add or Edit Bank Account.
Here you enter your banking details as required, Paypal will make sure that it is your account by depositing a small amount of money to your account (takes 3-5 days) and then asking you to verify that amount before the bank account is confirmed and linked to your Paypal account.
After you've linked your bank account to your Paypal account you can then withdraw funds to it by going to My Profile > Add Funds. This process also takes 3-5 days to complete.
The funds withdrawn to your Paypal account from your bank account will now allow you to make instant payments with funds direct from your Paypal account.
Alternatively if you make a payment for anything you buy online and wish to pay with your Paypal account and don't have any funds, Paypal will deduct the funds from your linked bank account. The process usually takes 3-5 days to complete.
Hope I have been of assistance to you, Cheers ! :)

Hi!i forwarded money from UBS acct.last thursday to my paypal acct...why is it until now this money is not on my paypal acct.this was happening twice already...what do i need to do about this thanks

Thanks for visiting FixYa!

On the "Transfer Funds" page, make note of the processing time. It usually takes 3 to 4 business days for electronically transferred funds to become an available part of your PayPal balance.

You can have immediate access to the funds in your bank account through PayPal if you link your bank account with your PayPal account. With your account 'linked' you can have a $0 (zero) PayPal account balance and still make purchases with PayPal. PayPal will automatically transfer the funds from your bank account (through PayPal) and pay for any purchases made with PayPal. And, your PayPal account will still remain at $0.

This information is from the PayPal website:

How do I link a bank account to my PayPal account? Question : Answer : We're introducing a new and improved Profile to some customers. Until all customers are using the new Profile, there are 2 sets of instructions on how to do this. Please follow the instructions that match what you see on the site [for your PayPal account]. Then just confirm your bank account to complete the process. If you bank online, you can usually do this instantly. If you don't have online access to your bank account, it'll take a few days.

If you live in Australia-
First check with your bank if payment has gone through to sellers account. You should of receipt of payment made to show you have transferred payment. Should take 24 - 48 hours to go through but all depends on receiving bank. Also make sure you have the sellers correct details - Account name, BSB number , Account number, Bank name etc. as if it's not exactly as on their account the funds will not be transferred back to you.
