SOURCE: I have a toshiba laptop

Hi,

certain laptops rely on a battery being present.
Or a battery that holds charge.
i,d suggest refering to the user manual, or go on-line to the manufacturers website.
the laptop may be in hibernation/sleep mode. or require a hard reset.
visit toshibas support site for further details and faqs ( frequently asked questions )

SOURCE: not charging

I found out how to solve this problem...first power down your computer. Then take out the battery, remove the power supply, and then hold down the power button for 30 secs. Put the power supply in only (not the battery). Start your computer after everything is done loading up put the battery back in. Give it a min. and then you should be able to roll your cursor over the battery life indicator in the lower right corner of you computer and is should say charging. I have found that other people have had this problem and it has worked for myself and for them.

I read somewhere that all phones and tablets will or already are able to charge from the USB port of your PC.

I don't know if this is 100% true so, you should check it out for your Nook.
Hope this helps.

My NOOK HD doesn't want to charge. What do you think the problem is...just the cable or something else. Thanks in advance for your help with this problem.

Cord that plugs into Nook may be loose in port and not making a good connection. You may even want to try a different USB cord.

Nook tablet will not turn on

Yes, press and hold the power button, for up to 30 seconds, or until the "N" logo appears on the screen.

If it does not, suggestions are that the battery is dead or not charging because the power cord itself is broken or frayed inside the cable and you will need to replace with either a B&N cable or a Micro USB cable.

It could also be the wall charger unit is no longer functioning, and this must be replaced.

I have so far replaced one wall charger and three USB cables, so this is a unnecessary common event with Nook

I do not have an owners manual for my Dalton power wheelchair. When hooking up the charger do I plug in the charger and then the chair or vice versa? And should the chair be turned on when its charging?...

You should plug the charger into the chair first, then into the wall receptacle. The chair should be turned OFF when charging. This will allow it to charge faster and completely. When charging is complete, remove the plug from the wall receptacle first, then from the chair.

My nookcolor is not charging properly. I plug it into the wall with the wallcharger and the status shows not charging. It is charging, but very slowly. It takes anywhere from six to twelve hours to charge....

In my experience, the Nook lithium ion batteries are very sensitive to over-charging. If you are still under warranty (1-year manufacturer. Call 800-thebook if you're not sure and they will let you know), replace the device. In the future, do not leave the fully charged device plugged-in while you're using it. The inability to fully or quickly charge the battery is the first step before swelling of the battery like a balloon. I'm not kidding. Fortunately, the B&N customer service is pretty helpful.

Conecting a 220w plug into a standar wall plug

If you are using an elctric ( not a gas) dryer then never try to plug the power cord of that drywr into a 220VAC wall receptacle. It isn't rated for the appropriate current that the dryer requires..However if yiou have a dryer that operates the contro system and is NOT a Gas dryer than you will need the proper plug end that matches the receptacle on your wall. Most harware stores should carry the right plug. I do not know what country you wrote your problem from and there are different power grids throughout. In general though, if you do have the right plug that matches your wall receptacle and it has 3 prongs... the two side prongs are normally the power and the disimilar prong is ground.. Can't help you with any additional details without knowing what you are confronted with..
