Hi,
a 6ya Repairman can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Repairman (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Hi . The solution offered by rowdy (pull the trigger and hold it until light goes out) will only work on older machines, the newer machines have more complex electronics that need reseting using an optical reader which plugs into a PC , you will also need the Hilti ODA Software. this is not available to the general public. you may have to send it back to hilti for service and reset. this is free if the machine is less than 2 years old.

SOURCE: Cordless Hammer Drill Sfh 151 A 2.0Ah: Hi, How do you change the chuck on the Hilti SF 15...

Hi. open the chuck to the max. inside the chuck you will see a screw. remove it. put the drill in reverse. hold the chuck. a vice may be needed. pull the trigger. this may work, however in my experience, they are very tricky to get off. I have never had a faulty chuck but have had many faulty gearboxes. i have had to buy ney chuck to fit with the new gearboxes because i couldn't get the good chuck of the damaged gear box. good luck.

Hammers but does not turn consistently, and service light is on.

the service light being on usually indicates the brushes are worn or needs other maintenance which is what you are describing. There is a method to turn the light off if you attempt the repairs yourself or you can go to Hilti.com for a service center or call them at 1-800-879-8000. If you choose to repair yourself let me caution you that these are not the simpler tools to work on. Let me know if you try it yourself and I will give you the method that I got from Hilti.

Hilti TE 17. Hammer doesnt work. Rotary does.

Most likely the O-rings are worn - tool has no compression to move the hammers inside.
Less likely: the connecting rod for the piston is broken so piston isn't moving - or 2nd hammer is broken into pieces.
I would open it up & check the orings first

Not positive but I think that it works on air. Is there a cylinder with a piston in it. The orings could be blown?

Hilti TE-5 does not drill

Check the motor if the motor has power and then the gears are not working. If the motor doesnt have any power then you need to check for power. To get at the gears you are going to need to remove the chuck
