Overheating/no heat

My first guess is the cooling system is low on liquid coolant. That would cause both symptoms. The radiator can be low even if the overflow tank is full. The cooling system can have air pockets.

Coolant container boiling water

Hi, Anonymous and the usual suspects are:
1. Low coolant level.
2. Restricted radiator air flow.
3. Faulty thermostat.
4. Coolant pump or fans inoperative.
5. Vent hose crimped.
6. Air in the coolant.

Water not going in moter ,white smoke blowing from rhe tail pipe

Hi, If water is Not going your cooling system, check : - cooling liquid level ( it should in normal level) - air lock in your cooling system ( You can run your ca for minutes then top up liquid to disable this problem) - water pump ( it should working normal and has no leaks on its seal)
White smoke blowing, please check : - Valve seals for leaks - Oil seals for leaks - Compression on your combustion chamber
You will need a basic knowledge of car system to do above tasks.

How do I check the coolant level? This is my first liquid cooled bike.

When the bike is cold remove the radiator cap and look in the radiator. If you see coolant at the top it's good. If it looks low or you can't see any at all you need to add coolant.

Stops cooling

These are not my words but perfectly explains why. Your Refrigerator, while operating within a low ambient temperature is unable to complete this process because the air surrounding the Condensor and Compressor is so cold is is inhibiting the compressor's ability to raise the pressure and temperature of the refrigerant to the necessary level to promote it's change of states from a vapor to a liquid. No heat

First check if there is air in the cooling line or cooling liquid leak or level of cooling liquid too low

Check if the engine thermostat works fine.

Check the waterpump

Check if the heater radiator is not jammed.

Heater fan works in warm weather not in cold

Not very good with American cars, but a lucky guess... the fan works only after the cooling liquid has reached some temperature. So smth is preventing the engine to reach this optimal temperature in cold days - low level of liquid, water pump malfunction, thermostat not opening (if you have such mechanical thermostat at all), or just a sensor fault.

2002 bmw 330i,coolant light

Hi there
Not familiar with this car, but all of these systems work using a liquid level sensor, which is just a reed switch in a pivoting assembly. 9/10 times the unit just needs a clean. if your hand fits into the water bottle then clean with hand, if not the sensor can be removed with cir-clip pliers and then cleaned.
If none of these work (ie sensor is broke then just short the connections to get rid of the annoying warning light.)
