Janome 9200D Overlocker

I cannot move the slider from R to S or vice versa. This is the tool which changes setting from Standard to Roll Hem. Instructions are to deactivate knife, push cutting adjustment dial to right and move slider. I cannot make the dial move to the right to enable slider to be moved.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: cutting knife adjustment

Hi,
I have found this info...it mentions both threading and changing the knife width. I hope it is useful.

not exactly your serger model but technique will be very similar for rolled hem.

You need to set up a three thread overlock with the right hand needle, (take left needle out), and change the thread finger in the throat. Sometimes a switch to do this and sometimes it is a little piece on the foot that you change with a screwdriver.

Also, this solution http://www.fixya.com/support/t9280656-thread_janome_204d_serger is basic threading on 204D, it should be very similar to your model.

I have looked for a free download instruction manual for your machine without success. But you should be able to buy one from Janome or another of the online sewing sites like www.sewusa.com or www.sewingpartsonline.com.

]ve a manual you can somtimes find them on the Janome websit

Consult the owner's manual. It should have basic instructions for the settings. You may also need a presser foot for making a rolled hem.

I need a needle screw for a 9200D overlocker. Where can I find this part?

I would call Janome at 1-800-631-0183 and order directly from them so that you get the correct needle screw.

This may be too small to read, if so, email via
www.bargainbox.com.au and I shall send it on........remember to only ever use the R needle, so you only have 3 threads.

To move the Rolled hem arm, you will need to release the upper knife (knob on left inside cover....push to the right and blade moves approx 6mm) so you can slide the small metal tongue to correct position for:

N = Normal
R = Rolled
