My harman kardon avr 100 keeps cutting out every 3 secs. i can hear the music but constently keeps cutting off. its very annoying... any ways to fix this probem?

Check the impedance of the speaker wires going into the amplifier. It sounds like at least one set of speakers is overloading the amp (shorted, or almost shorted)

ED7400 - Edge Car Audio 400w amplifier keeps cutting out the music and going into protective mode.

The most common problem is that the amplifier isn't getting enough power. Try installing a one farad capacitor between the head unit and the amplifier.

I have a mtx thunder amp. It started cutting in and out, when it did that it would make a loud sharp noise thru the subwoofer and then work fine. after turning my truck off and cutting it back on it would...

WELL, THE BAD NEWS IS THAT IT WILL DEFINITELY NEED TO BE SERVICED, BUT WHEN REINSTALLING IT, MAKE SURE TO HAVE THE SPEAKER CHECKED TO INSURE THAT IT IS NOT FAULT Y, AS IT COULD HAVE A BAD VOICECOIL WHICH CAN PRESENT A SHORT TO THE OUTPUTS OF THE AMPLIFIER RESULTING IN PREMATURE FAILURE. IF IT IS FINE, THEN REINSTALL THE AMPLIFIER AND YOU SHOULD BE OK FROM THERE. ALWAYS KEEP IN MIND THAT ALL POWER CONNECTIONS, ESPECIALLY THE GROUND, SHOULD ALWAYS BE CHECKED TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE 100%. HOPE THIS HELPS AND LET ME KNOW IF YOU NEED FURTHER ASSISTANCE....V

Lights on crosover not light up and sub is cutting in and out

Hi mate i had a similar problem and it was a dry joint in the equaliser. Maybe an Easy fix.

Then again iv seen bad wiring cause the same problem. If the subs are cutting off, are you using the correct cables and are you sure the amps not cutting off?

Crate BT50 Bass amp cutting out with high input.

Sometimes an amplifier's preamp can't handle certain signals/frequencies at a high gain, so they cut out. Bass guitars are especially prone to giving such a strong signal.
I bought an older, nonworking bass amp recently and fixed it just to find it had the same problem. Best solution is to put a low ohm resistor at the amps input, but if you turn your guitar down to half volume it'll have the same effect: should prevent it from cutting out.
