Hi, Possibly either of 2 reasons: 1. Your player is not sending any signal to the Optima meaning it is the one in question and not the projector; or 2. Your Optima lost its input signal, go through the signal source selection menu, try manual selection & set it to where your source/player is connected. If you're using a laptop then look for the key that sends the image to the projector. Usually you have to connect the cable between the computer and laptop with both units powered down. That way when the PC boots it will see the projector is connected.

You're projector is most likely fine. Check your satellite box. Go to the menu and see how its set to display video. It may be trying to up-convert TV signals. Try different adjustments from there to see if you see any change.

To me itcsounds like ypu have a 1080p signal, 1080i is what it accepts. The 1080p signal will only show up on half the screen. Switch blue ray player to 720p or 1080i output.

There is an option in the setup menus to re-orientate the picture, to flip it either vertically, horizontally or both to correct for the various installation options. You should be able to correct it quite easily :o)

check that the lamp is on securly and that the cover is on securly too.

Most projectors have a 1/8 inch (mono) or tip and sleeve female connector for screen trigger and output 12volts dc when the projector is powered up. So if the Optima screen has the optional trig in and it's 12 volts the cable is very easy to put together. Optima may have a cable available or you could spend just a few bucks at Radio Shack and your all set.
