Lack of takeup torque. Will need some rubber parts and a Technician to install them.

There is an idler wheel behind the platen ( black plate behind the cassette)..replace the idler wheel.

Try replacing the belt, because when the belt is a bit old it looses its elasticity and it can't drive the whole thing properly.Tape A and Tape B works independently.
