Question about Toshiba Satellite U925t
Replace LCD Screen for the TOSHIBA SATELLITE U925T ultrabook. I need a guide to do this. I can purchase the screens on ebay for about $50 but it seems very difficult to replace. Any help?
Well it is not that hard as it seams to be. First catch at Toshiba is plastic overlay above the keyboard it is cca 10 mm thick you should remove it with the screw driver carefuly. when removed you'll find screws unscrew them. After that remove hard drive and remove the cover for ram slots. Then remove all screws from the bottom side of the notebook. After that turn the notebook on the right side as you would do it normaly when using it. Remove the keyboard. After that remove all screws that you'll find under the keyboard. When done carefully remove the upper cover of the notebook. After that dismount the cables that come from the monitor to the mainboard and remove the screws holding the monitor brackets. Then you'll be able to remove the monitor. The monitor has litle rubber circles in every corner remove them. You'll find screws under them. Unscrew them and grab the plastic border of the monitor from the inner side and pull it towards you. So now you have removed it and the only thing that has left is to remove the side brackets you'll see little screws from the side - remove them and also remove the signal cable from the back of the monitor. When done take new monitor and do the reverse procedure.

On Toshiba laptops you hit the ESC key as soon as you turn it on & then you
are given the option to hit the F1 key to enter bios.
As to the cmos battery, they couldn't have hidden it better if it was the Queen's diamond!
It is near the bottom of the laptop on the right side, almost directly beneath the pause/break key.
Problem is, you have to disassemble the entire laptop to get at it!
Disassembly instructions for the Satellite A10 are here
Best of luck

There is a way to brighten and darken the lcd screen. Perhaps it under a energy saving mode, like when you run on battery power, sometimes the screen will go darker. Anyway, if that is the case, try holding Function and press F8 to brighten it, and F7 will darken it too.
