Conext 900 avr - How do I change the battery fuse in this thing. I can't find it. There are three fuses soldered in place which appear not be blown. I can't see the middle fuse. Is there another "Battery Fuse" that I should be able to see????

dc power from batteries is switched (inverted) by semi conductors. this involves switching on and off the dc supply buss to create an alternating voltage. if the devices are blown then as soon as the unit is connected to dc the dc shorts outs and blows the dc fuse, this could be your problem. unless you can get a good power electronics tech to fix this for a reasonable price you should recycle this and buy a new one. in some ups systems the dc from the batteries go via a dc up converter which increases the dc voltage to a level the inverter will run at. all this circuitry is difficult to work on and almost all of it is controlled by logic circuits and software.

one last word
batteries are always live and are very dangerous, remove all metal objects watches, rings etc before handling, wear eye protection and take account of all instructions supplied .
with batteries if in doubt the don't work with them.

SOURCE: 97 audi a4 no power/battery fuse?

Sounds like either the battery leads are on the wrong way round, or the starter main cable is touching something and shorting to earth. Retrace your steps and check your connection locations.
Either that or its a dead short through the starter. Remove main cable from back of starter and tape up incase of short. then reconnect battery. If ok now then your looking at starter motor.

The problem is your system not the fuses which merely trip to tell you overload. So we have to find what is causing the over load.

No indicator lights after replacing battery

I have one question, have you connect the battery terminal correctly the first time you install your new batteries? If not, it might be your battery fuse is blown during the process :) check your UPS battery fuse.

Replaced conext ups cnb325 battery but power indicator light does not come on.

There is a solder problem on some units. Remove the battery and the 4 screws, tilt the lower panel away, and let the circuit board drop out onto the workbench. WATCH FOR THE TRANSFORMER, it is not fastened. Inspect for a loose solder connection, and if you find it, re-flow the solder. Re-assemble and plug into the AC current to charge the battery.

Yes you can solder a new one in place just have to be careful, you can also, if you have room, solder in a new holder in case it blows again it will be easy to repl.

I had the same model/symptoms (no lights on the front panel). I had a compatible, though smaller, battery from a Verizon Fios backup unit, and I tried that in the UPS--it worked. That confirmed that I just needed a new battery.

check for blown fuses in fuse boxes under dash on left & under hood.check for a blown 'fusible link' a wire leading from battery + terminal to the electrical box near the battery.a fusible link is a wire designed to 'melt' in case of a short.outside of link will appear blistered, and a new one needs to be soldered in it's place.

My generator starts and runs great, It is not

  1. Check for any blown fuse and replace. It can be traced directly from the output lines.
  2. Check field excitation. The field excitation is supplied by the battery to the excitation coil through a pair of carbon brushes. If the brushes are worn out, no excitation field is supplied and no output is generated. Replace carbon brush if found worn-out.
  3. Use an analog multitester to check the continuity of the carbon brush and the field coil.
