Hi Lee,

It can be done by programming the scanning the 'Send Enter Key' barcode twice, from the owners manual.

eg

Scan the barcodes -

S (from the Alpha-Numeric section of the guide)
End of Message (from the Alpha-Numeric section of the guide)
Send Control S

That should do it.

SOURCE: Create a barcode for F1 and F2 using Labelview

If you have created your barcodes as "F1" and "F2" you will have to create two Advanced Data Formatting rules with the LS2208 Product Reference Guide. This link will take you to the manual. Print only the barcodes you need from the list below then scan them in the order they are listed:
Begin New Rule
Specific String at Start
F (from the Alpha-numeric section of manual)
1 (from the Alpha-numeric section of manual)
End of message (from the Alpha-numeric section of manual)
Send F1 Key
Save Rule
Begin New Rule
Specific String at Start
F
2
End of Message
Send F2
Save Rule

That should do it!

SOURCE: Symbol scanners (several models) not recognizing Code 39 Extended

The barcode must be a Code 39 barcode, not a Code 39 Extended or Full ASCII barcode. The Enable Code 39 Full ASCII must be scanned from the Symbologies section of the LS2208 Product Reference Guide (page 186 of 342). The Enable Function Key Mapping barcodes would have to be scanned if you are seeing something other than the tab happen when you scan into your application. In Word, for instance you will see the italics enable/disbled whenever the $I is encountered in the barcode.

As for the Covert to Code 39 Full ASCII- that is for Wand and Scanner emulation. The setting was having no effect because you were not connecting to either of these hosts.

How can i activate $I for tab in LS 2208. Please send me the Bar codes to activate it.

You will have to download the LS2208 Product Reference Guide and scan the Enable Code 39 Full ASCII barcode from Adobe page 188 of 345. This will make the scanner send a Control I to the application. If your application does not see a Control I as a TAB you will have to enable Function Key Mapping from the USB (page 117 of 345) or Keyboard wedge (64 of 345) section of the manual based on the cable you are using.

TOUCH PAD ISN'T WORKING, CURSOR WON'T MOVE

your touchpad might have a 'lock' button nearby it, to enable or disable its sensitivity. this is usually helpful while typing, so you can disable it so that the when the touchpad gets touched, the mouse won't make any reaction. You can then enable it to work with the mouse. This button is usually either near the top border or near one of the four borders. Alternately, some laptops have a function key for touchpad enable-diable thing. It is usually Fn + F3. The function key (Fn) is near the Ctrl key. The touchpad key, in the in colour of the Fn key will be somewhere in the Function keys.

Alt f10 will not work

I do not know what type of device you have nor do I know the O/S you are using. What function are you trying to Accomplish by this move? I can not think of anything that Alt+F10 does. Are you sure you don't mean The "FN" key and F10? Please try the FN key and F10 to see if you get the result you are looking for.
