SOURCE: Where are the furnace filters in my older furnace?

On these of Furnaces the filters mount on the door. Remove the door you will notice grill on front. There should be a track on the back of the front door to slide filters down. Should take 2 filters.

Check the drain line for a float switch. Remove float and check for water. Do not leave float out, you must clear the drain. Good Luck

Got Intertherm Model # MGH-055AB.. It lights for ap 10 seconds goes out then goes out... Over and over again does not stay lit long enough for the blower to start running?? ANY IDEAS HOW TO FIX IT ?

You have to try resetting the system. First turn the breaker off for the condenser and wait about 20 seconds. After you turn it back on the system should reset. If the s3 comes on then you have an issue with the unit and i would get a professional to help.

Looking for a gas valve for a intertherm furance model no. mgh-055aacwl-06 ser.number mgh9009-00077

you need to contact your nearest a/c supply house. most company's that sale parts on line will not sale gas valves to the public due to liability.

Intertherm MGH-075AAC burner cutting out before fan comes on

If you have a combustion air problem the flames will fade out instead of turning off abruptly. 15 to 20 seconds is a long time. if you are sure it is taking that long then it is not likely a flame rectification problem. If a limit is turning the flame off then it will turn off very abruptly like you turned off a switch. The evaporator coil situated above it may be dirty and in need of cleaning. sometimes however the limit switch will get to where it is shutting off at a way lower temp than it should. Limits are cheap enough and easy enough to just replace. DO NOT BYPASS THE LIMIT!!!!! You could burn your house down!!

I have an old Intertherm gas-fired furnace, Model MGH-055AB which ceased operating last night. It was quite warm when I arrived home, and when I set the heat up a little, began to hum, but the fan would...

Tom P's answer is generally correct: The motor start capacitor is usually not the problem. However, in some cases, particularly on older furnaces, where there were capacitors of certain make and production run will prematurely fail. This happened in March on a mobile home HVAC unit where both the blower fan and condenser fan motor capacitors failed open circuit. Both caps were of the same Mfg, and production lot.
Here is a suggestion (for you or an electrically inclined friend): Locate a substitute motor capacitor having similar Mfd (or MF) and Voltage ratings. Remove power from the unit. Reach into the blower squirrel cage and spin it to verify that the shaft is not frozen. Pull the wires from the existing capacitor noting color and location. Connect the wires to the substitute capacitor and secure it place. Apply power and turn on the blower. A no start? Motor replacement time.

No problems, would like to find out the best way to remove blower for cleaning on an intertherm gas furnace mgh 075 ina mobile home

Generally ther is two screws at the base of the blower housing which hold it in place, remove the screws and pull, slide the entire assembly out. You will have to disconnect the electrical wiring to the blower and possibly the limit switch on the side if equip.

Where are the furnace filters in my older furnace?

Open the door to the airhandling unit inside the closet by lifting upward on them. There should be two filters located on top of the A coil.

Gas Valve is leaking

I am a Nordyne dealer and you can replace your gas valve with a generic valve of your choice. You can try and find a supply house in your area that sells them or you can visit www.myhvacparts.com to find one.
