SOURCE: We can't send or received faxes

Just a suggestion. This effect can happen if you have plugged the line cord into the tel jack instead of line jack.

Fax is always busy when sending, have the line into the phone line port and into the telephone jack, fax scans and dials and even redials but it never go through, prints out receipt that says busy/no...

Has it always done this, or did Fax once work? Sadly, Windows XP Fax has many shortcomings, not the least of which is that it won't work with many modems still in common use. Modem incompatibility is not apparent during installation or the initial setup. It only becomes apparent when you try to send or receive a fax. The Fax Service will dial or will answer an incoming fax but then fail with any of a number of unhelpful error messages such as "Line is busy," "There is no answer," or "Reception error." There will be nothing in Event Viewer to give a clue as to where the problem might lie.

These errors have been nearly impossible to track down. To do so requires enabling both PSS and debug logging of fax transmissions, both of which require fairly extensive registry changes. For the time being, the best advice is to attempt to use XP Fax only if you have a modem that is listed on the Windows XP Hardware Compatibility List and using the latest drivers.

Hope helps.

My fax machine will not send faxes. After a number is dialed, it will give me a report saying that there is no response/busy.

The only thing that could stop you from sending a fax or not get a dial tone, would be the connection to the phone line. Make sure the telephone wire is plugged into the line jack (not ext jack) and should go straight to the wall, without splitters or extensions. If you still cannot send a fax, try another wire or jack

Once I send a fax, I am unable to send another without turning the machine off & back on. When I try to use it again to fax, the button beeps and the screen says busy.

what is the brand of your fax machine.... i have an hp officeject3500 series all in one...when im sending fax after it says 1 doc sent/faxed, it will take like a few mopre seconds before i cud use the handset or send a new one...

and also r u trying to send to a different number or the same???

if the same number and u want to send mutiple documents uve to prepare the docs ull be sending like after feeding the first page immediately feed the next one before 1st page is out of the machine..

dunno if this will help u but if check the setting and ifs okay maybe the best way or next step is to report it to a technician where u got ur fax machine...

Check the fax line with a regular phone and dial a fax number to listen for fax tones.

Can't send out fax

the number you called does not answer or busy-you may have reached a number not connected to fax or it is connected and not activated in receiving mode-check the number and call again.
if you have a message "out of memory"there is no enough memory available to send your fax.press stop/exit print the faxes stored in the memory to delete them then try again.

I can't fax! BUSY/NO RESPONSE

go into menu
go to fax settings
find send
click auto not manual, please make sure that when you push the hook key you hear a dial tone. always reminder that every fax machine has the capablitiy of either dial or tone. now if everything is set up properly  the problem will be in the tx portion of the board. if you can link up with somebody close to you and try to transmit back and fourth that will let you know if it is their problem or your. it may not be your problem.
