Windows media player let me burn cd but other software dosnt work

when i try and burn an audio cd with windows media player it works but when i use nero 7 ultra it detects an image drive not a dvd-rw drive. I dont know what the issue could be, all help is greatly appreceated, i am running windows xp home with service pack 2, it burned before but all of a sudden it no longer works.

All you need to do is change the device it is going to burn the files to. Apparently it is currently set to burn an .nrg image file to your hard disk. If you click on the down arrow next to the Image Drive, you will see your DVD/CD drives listed there.
