SOURCE: Staples Adapter (18762) Computor does

I will advice you try use it on another computer and see if it recognizes it, if it did not, it means the adapter is bad, and will need to be replaced.

Take care.

It is not working. the hardaware is working fine, but i just installed windows 7 ultimate it. but still dont know why it is not working

Good Day!

the reason why some of your hardware didn't recognize because the windows 7 needs to be updated.
Go to control panels and click update.
After you update everything about your windows 7 just simply restart your computer and after that, all your hardware is already recognize.

Thanks and God Bless!

Need the driver for windows 7 home 64 bit

Windows 7 has NATIVE drivers for this but you need to ignore any warning about not being suitable for windows 7
They are also available from the staples site under support.

You can also look up the hardware ID and download a driver that way too.

Did you put the same version of Windows on that was on before? Usually this type of driver is installed automatically. You did not say what kind of system you have, so the best advice I can give is go tothe manufacturer website and look for the driver there. Also, if you installed XP, often installing the updates will make the system recognize things it did not before - possibly the USB you refer to. The service packs are rather large files, so if you have a slow connection it will take a while. They are called sp1, sp2, and sp3. You cannot go right to sp3 because the system needs at least sp2 to install sp3. So you can install the sp2 and skip sp1, and then install sp3. I would also go to the Microsoft update website, and choose custom. That way you can select the hardware updates and maybe it will show up there.

Most likely the card is not being recognized properly. Try the following to try and resolve the issue.

1. Ensure you have all of Microsoft's Windows updates for your operating system, uninstall the drivers and reinstall drivers for the card IF you have Windows updates to download/install.
2. Install the card into a different PCI slot (again reinstall the drivers). If you do not have another PCI slot, swap it with another PCI card (if you do not need that other PCI card then leave it uninstalled physically to see if the problem goes away)
3. Update the BIOS on the motherboard. To do this you may need to contact your motherboard or system vendor to assist.

What version of Windows are you using?
