Mute sound is on how do i turn my sound back on my hp laptop

Check the "F" keys at the top of the keyboard - there should be one that has a speaker icon with a line through it - if you hit that it should un-mute it. Secondly: click on the speaker icon on the bottom right of your desktop - if it has a red line through it , it is muted. click that to unmute it. Good luck!

I get picture on Viber laptop, but no sound. How do I get speakers to work and where can I find the speakers.

Check to see if you a speaker icon in the lower r/h side of the task-bar down by the clock.
If the icon is not there right click on a blank area of the task-bar and left click 'properties'
Left click 'customize'
Scroll down to 'Volume' and select 'Show icon and notifications "
Click 'OK'
Close the 2 properties pop-ups.
Right click on the speaker icon and select 'playback devices'
The 'sound' pop up will appear showing whatever you have connected ( speakers or headset etc)
Make sure the speakers are set as default if you have more than one sound device connected.
The speakers should have a green tick (check ) when they are ready to use
Right click on the speaker icon and select 'Open volume mixer"
Check that the volume slider is above 50% and the speakers are not muted (shown as a red no-entry sign on the speaker icons at the bottom of the sliders' If muted click on the slider speaker icon.
Right click on the speaker icon and select 'playback devices' Put the cursor on the blue graph to the right of the icon, right click and select 'test' All being well the computer speakers will respond.

Download driver sd ms pro mmc xd

If you have a hardware mute button on the keyboard, try pressing that. They usually look like a speaker with either an x beside it or a speaker that has a circle with a slash beside it. It may even be colored red.
The following answer assumes you're using XP, Vista, or Win 7.

If there is no mute button, click the speaker icon on the toolbar and see if the 'mute' box is checked. If it isn't, also use your mouse or touchpad to work the slider on the screen to try and turn up the volume.

Lastly, some Toshiba laptops have a separate hardware volume control on the front, like you'd find on portable radios.

Volume controls?

The quick specs from HP does not show a volume control. Most laptops are designed this way. All volume controls will be located on screen unless you have touch lights across the top of the keyboard, which in that case there would be 3 speaker icons (one is mute, and the others are volume Up/Down).

My doughter accidently disable the sound on our laptop, How do I activate it again?

There should be 5 grey buttons at the top of your keyboard and just below your monitor. On the right there should be two with a small speaker icon, one with an X or an \ through it. Press the one with the speaker icon that has the ))) symbols coming from it to turn it back on.

If this doesn't work you should have a speaker icon in the bottom right corner of your desktop screen which may have a red X on it. Right click this and select volume control options and make sure that the "Mute" boxes are not checked off and the volume levels are turned up as you desire.

Touch pad failed.

Look along the top of the keyboard for an "f key" that shows a "touch pad" icon, IF you see it, press the "function key" (along the bottom of the keyboard) PLUS at the same time the "f key" (that you found along the top) and that should "toggle" the touch pad back on....
Also, IF you plug in a USB mouse that will allow you to move the cursor around--but the USB mouse doesn't fix your touch pad problem.
Hope this helps.
