SOURCE: craftsman 32" 10 hp snow thrower
Around the back of the engine, just below the cylinder cooling fins. The shut off should face you if standing in front of the recoil starter, for the fuel tank. The fuel line should wrap around I the side of the carb and be protected by the metal cover surrounding it.

SOURCE: I just bought a Sears snow thrower, I put in oil and gas went to start it but the pull cord will not pull up. I then tried the electric starter but it just made a grinding sound. Why won t it start?
Check the crankcase and make sure it has oil. It sounds like the engine is frozen. If its brand new, take it back to Sears and have them start it for you.

The tires are probably tubeless type. If the bead is broken ( not sealed to the rim) the tire will not inflate. Taking the weight off the tire will some times allow the bead to seal against the rim and allow tire to be inflated. You can also put a small ratchet strap around the tread of the tire and tighten it up. This will squash the tire and make the bead seal up. MAKE SURE to loosen strap as soon as bead seals and tire begins to inflate. Hope this helps.
