Question about Kenmore Washing Machines
Motor won't turn in pump cycle. works fine in wash and spin cycle
The lid switch will not allow the motor to pump out the water. Including timer issues. So start looking for the problem respectively.

Yes sir, a bad motor coupler could cause the machine not to spin. You did the right thing in checking out the lid switch and the pump first. It sounds as if the motor coupling is worn and may be slipping. I will attach a link to a video that may assist you. Hope this helps and best wishes.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa
When the washer fills but does not agitate or spin then you can check if the lid switch is fine. You can jump start the lid switch by connecting both the wires with each other or use the third wire to act as jumper between the two. After this if the problem is solved then replacing lid switch is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.
