SOURCE: Audio Driver issues

Hi,
if you have the installation disk with this, the sound drivers should be on there.
ensure that your using the on-board sound card, if using a stand-alone card ( Seperate Card ) PCI/AGP. that you have the individual driver cd disk, for the actual card itself.
also check the motherboards user manual. sometimes a jumper-block connector, has to be setup on the main-board. to allow onboard-sound enable/disable.
Finally, check in device manager, to see if theres any yellow exclamation marks, by your sound card icons.
if so try, add/remove or re-install drivers for this device.

SOURCE: have a hotpoint tdc30p dryer that will not heat

Check to see if the new parts fitted are o/k,
If they are, then your problem is probably a faulty control unit or possibly bad connection in the wiring.
If the new parts are faulty, then something else is causing them to fail.
Make sure all filters are clean and that all air vents are clear

SOURCE: my dryer, whirlpool #wed5840swo stopped heating.

Does the drum turn? I know you have checked the breaker which can trip sometimes. There may be a small disc about the size of 7-8 stacked nickels that is actually a reset that is planted along in one of the lines. You can bypass it to see if it is the problem. If it is, then you can get a replacement at an appliance store. Make sure all your wiring is correct because you could be spending a lot of money for nothing. Was your old element actually bad(burned in 2)? This main thing I would want to know is if the drum turns or not. The other, probably not, problem could be in the control panel. If you are handy with an ohm meter, you can see if those parts are indeed O.K. You can call em at 803 463 5567 for clarification.

Dryer gets warm but not hot

I will assume you have the thermostat set on high and checked the dryer vent to make sure it is not clogged with Lint, Mouse Nests, or GI Joes. (I have seen all of these.) There are two common broken bits that can cause this.

First, and most likely, is the heating element. Most electric dryers have two strings of heating elements that run next to each other. If one of them fails then the dryer will get warm, but not really hot. Depending on your dryer you either have to pull the back of the dryer off or pull the drum to inspect the heating element. When it's cool and unplugged it should be very obvious if it's broken. The heating elements look like springs, and one part will be brown and broken, probably near a ceramic insulator. If you are not sure, you can measure the resistance of each string with a multimeter. For a TEMPORARY repair, you can stretch the existing element's broken ends and put it back together. I stress that this is a temporary repair only because it will cause hot spot in the element and could be a fire risk. (Full Disclosure: My Mom has a dryer with this temporary repair that has worked since 1998. I'll get to it eventually.) If this is it, you can get a fully assembled heating element for $$, or you can save a lot by purchasing a restring kit instead. With the restring kit, you keep all of the metal bits and replace only the heating element wire and brackets. There are very good videos on youtube about how to install these properly. The key point is to pre-stretch the element before installing.

It is possible to bypass all the door closed and belt present to run the disassembled dryer for a few seconds to see if both elements get hot and turn red. This is patently unsafe, and you'll probably die from burns, electrocution, or entanglement with the electric motor. YMMV. Emphasis on "seconds" here, as the elements will burn out pretty quickly without airflow.

The other thing this could be is a thermostat. I don't know of any way to test these other than by replacement. They are fairly inexpensive compared to a fully assembled heating element.

Good Luck.

Water in bottom of dish washer. power to washer, but nothing. no lights on controls, nothing. will not do anything

Hi,
According to the information you gave, your model had an issue with the thermo fuse inside the control panel inside the door. This can blow for only one reason, the wires carried heat back to it. In the replacement kit link below, you will find a line break, this line break will prevent this from happening again. Fail to install this kit completely will end up doing it again.
Fuse Kit
Please install completely, you can purchase this from any part house or from the link I sent you.
Good Luck.

The dryer will not heat. Think the heating element is bad. Where is it located on the dryer?

it is located at the back of the drum inside an oval housing. if the element coil is not broken, you may need the thermal cut off kit which is part #3977393, it contains 2 thermostats. the element part #is 3403585. hope this helps.
