sir, i got hp dv2401tu windows vista laptop. it was not suitable for installing oracle software. so i removed vista and i installed windows xp. I am unable to get the sound. so i request you to suggest a sound driver suitable for windows xp so that i can hear sound on my hp dv2401tv model laptop.

i too have the same problem but with some suggstions audio driver is installed but i need display(video) driver .can any expert solve my problem by providing a dedicated link for the problem

Hi ravindar,

I've installed XP on several Vista-Ready PCs and I can tell you that your issue is not uncommon. Most of the newer PCs don't come with XP driver support so if all you have a problem with is sound you're doing all right!

I'm not sure if loveu's Softpaq fixed your problem. If not, do a free scan at http://www.driveragent.com and see if it comes up with a driver for your audio. If not, let us know and we'll specify another option or two.

hi, I have removed vista and installed Xp and after that i am not able to hear the sound from speaker though i can hear the sound from headphone.
