Hopefully you discovered it's not difficult to take the shaver apart--at least if it's like mine.
Two screws on the back hold it together--one visible, one under the flip trimmer. They have odd slots but can be undone with a small slot screwdriver, though I think the proper way is with a torxx.
Once you undo the screws, take off the metal clips that hold in the batteries and serve as the screw holes. The batteries can be flipped up carefully (so as not to break the copper wires to the motor).
If your problem is like mine, you'll see a clear plastic piece that has dislodged from under the rubber push switch. Place the round end so that it lays in the rubber dome and contacts the switch.
You can flip the batteries back down in their proper position at this point and test to see if the plastic part is seated properly.
Then simply put the metal clips back and replace the screws. Amazingly simple. Hope that helps.

SOURCE: Electric Shaver will not charge
There are 4 small philips head screws deeply recessed on the rear of the razor. Unscrew these and the back half of the case just lifts off. Unsolder the battery leads and fit new battery pack.

Yes, there is a battery pack inside that can be changed. You will find replacement batteries for model HQ7740 at shaveroutlet.com. See link below
To replace them, you will need to first remove the flip up lotion cartridge cover on the back. Then remove the 5 screws there to take off the back of the case. You can then access the batteries. You will need to 'unsolder' the old ones from the circuit board and then solder in the new ones.
If you are not equipped to do this yourself, shaveroutlet.com can do it for you. See link below
