Question about Apple iPhone 5S
Yesterday I switched from my old iPhone 4 to new iPhone 5s, installed whatsapp, verified my phone and got all my messages history restored back from the cloud. So far so good. Then started using it again on my new iPhone. Today when I opened whatsapp it asked for verification again for my number, and after I verified it and got back in - all the new messages that I made yesterday disappeared, and the conversations were back to the status they were before. Just in case - I totally erased my old iPhone 4, so there's no conflict with the whatsapp on it. Should I do anything else?
I Too am having this problem with my iPhone 6. It has been happening sporadically across all versions of my old iPhone 4 and iPhone6. I am currently running version 8.3.
It happens randomly; at first it is as though only the iMessages disappear - and only my old TEXT SMS (from 18 months ago), are still present in the messages app, and the phone will freeze and run really slow. After quitting messages app, I go back in and ALL the text messages are gone, and creating a new message does not work.
(unless I go to my contacts, select a person, then click the "message" button). This will bring my friends old messages up - but the rest of the phones messages will have completely disappeared.
turning on/off does nothing - only a hard reset (hold home button and power together) - brings the messages back to normal.
its usually not permanent - only temporary - but it is happening often enough that it's annoying.
further note- I recently got a brand new phone from Apple (due partly to this reoccuring problem). I restored the phone / data from an iCloud backup (NOT computer backup), but it's still occurring now.
COuld it be a software issue? Or maybe an issue with my simcard?
Anyone else having this problem? by iPhone 5Se

Well okay. maybe you could log out from your old iPhone 4 then logon to your iPhone 5s with the same informations you use on your what's up from iPhone 4.

The internal parts might have got damaged when you dropped it. You will have to take your phone to the nearest Apple store and get it repaired.
