Hitachi 60FX32B picture

Picture starts out small and oblong, then eventually comes back to the right size after set warms up. Sometimes the picture will drop back down to the wrong size for a few minutes then springs back. Is this common? What should I look for?

Thanks in advance!

Replace vertical output IC with first quality part, check caps
in vertical power supply......If you don't have access to parts,
then solder pins of IC,should hold for awhile.
If you need further assistance, let me know.....T.

How to move red line on a hitachi 60fx32b

Convergence is adjusted with Hitachi remote and to get into mode you remove speaker grill (on model indicated) and locate small blue button on front of chassis--with set on press button and grid of lines comes on.

If red is really bowed and will not adjust----the convergence chips need to be replaced.

Hitachi 60fx32b out of focus how can i fix it

If not a convergence issue: each tube (back of set) has a large black lens with a wing nut on side----loosen nut and rotate lens slowly until red is in focus.

Hitachi 42EDT41A Plasma (Snow, very light pic), all else OK

LCDs are worth it to have as to a Plasma set as plasma tvs do need time to warm up LCD and LED tvs dont have that warm up time to wait for things to smooth out however if you wish to have the tv serviced it is fully up to the owner of that TV now mind you there is also OLED tvs out there in the market as well and with the cost of LCD tvs going down to about 500 bucks you might be more interested in that but thats my IMO on buying a TV set

Picture starts out normal and afer 2 hours becomes egg shaped

Sounds like it is getting to hot
Check how hot it is after one hour then check it after the image goes egg see if it is getting hotter.
Also make shore nothing is blocking the air vents.
Could also be a fuse on its way out.

Tune up for Hitachi 60FX32B

Remove rear cardboard cover....can you see tops of red / green /
blue tubes ? Clean lens' with soft , dry cloth......Do you smoke ?
If not , replace back. Picture should now be clearer but not
necessarily brighter.......Next, remove front speaker grill and find
the RGB focus / screen adjust block....turn RGB screen controls
SLIGHTLY clockwise to achieve more brightness....not too much
or you will have retrace lines in background of picture.......Let me know after these steps are done........T.
