SOURCE: Radio switches off automatically every five minutes

This sounds like it is in either a "snooze" or sleep mode.

See if you can find a setting regarding those. I searched and did not find a manual I could download.

Press the power button repeatedly as you turn it on to set the snooze mode, or change back to perpetually on.

Digitech world band radio AR-1748

If it's anything like my radio (model below), pressing the power button repeatedly as you turn it on sets the "sleep" mode.
The number shown on the screen with each press it the number of minutes before it turns off. When it shows "on" it stays on indefinitely.

I NEED TAN ELECTRONIC SCHEMATIC

Here is a link to the manual:ftp://ftp.digitech.com/pub/PDFs/Manuals/RP1000/RP1000%20manual%2018-0597-A.pdf It is highly unlikely that you will find a schematic unless you know a service tech for a music store that deals Digitech. Also you will need some specialized tools. Here is their contact info:http://www.digitech.com/dealers/service_lookup.php If you are a tech you can always contact them.
