SOURCE: My Mamiya RB67 triggers and shutter lease lever

This is not the best solution as it indicates a faulty film back. The film should advance without resorting to activating the film-wind release lever. That is only for intentionally advancing a partially exposed roll of film. Make sure the multi-exposure lever is not engaged and that the counter does advance and the red mark disappears as you advance to an unexposed frame.

SOURCE: Mamiya 645 pro shutter doesn't fire

First thing that comes to mind on this camera is that it's a modular camera. This means the film back can be changed mid roll so there is what is called a Dark Slide between the film back and the body.

The dark slide needs to be removed before the camera will function. Also depending on how "new" the film back is there may be a dark slide holder/sleeve on the back side of the film back.

So you remove the dark slide and slide is into the holder so first you don't loose it and also it doesn't get bent.

Change the battery! This happened to mine too, I was terrified... never knew it took a battery until then, as I don't have a viewfinder with an inbuilt lightmeter. Unfortunately the rz needs it just to run, this is where the rb actually wins. The battery is underneath, you should be able to get a new one from a camera shop.

Just got a 645= shutter "release jammed:, I put in new battery and also missing the crank arm, must have had a motor handle before. its like new, meter in prism works new battery, have old 645 J to...

if the shutter is jammed just off the device, and slightly pull the shutter door with your hand 3-4 times.apply a drop of oil on both the sides.and then on the device.and check it will work.
and for the replacement off the handle you will have to check on the old device that where are locks in the back you just have to remove that locks, also check for the hidden screws in the centre or back of the handle.which may be blocking it to be removed easily.

thanks.

Hello. I just got a Mamiya C330, looks really nice but I note that the little release botton in front of the camera is inside I can;t take it out. my question is this could affect to take picture or I...

This button you speak of is an alternate way of depressing the shutter it is also a way in which you can use a shutter release cord to take pictures. the button itself is not meant to come out of the camera. Once you load your film or 2 empty film spools (to test to see if the camera is working properly) into the camera and wind the film crank then you will be able to depress that button and fire the shutter.

I bought a second hand Mamiya 645 Af but as soon as I load a film it shows a error message ERR 01 .... what is that ?

From the manual:
"If the error display is not canceled when the shutter release button is pressed again, insert the Dark slide, half-press the shutter release button while pressing the roll film holder's manual film advance button to wind up the film, then contact your nearest Mamiya agent or service center."

I just got a Mamiya rb67 on ebay and I cannot get the cocking release lever to move or the shutter for that matter. I didn't want to force anything. I have looked at the manuals on the web, but cannot...

Have you tried it without the back attached, or without a dark slide in the back? Many cameras have an interlock preventing the shutter from firing while the slide is in. If that doesn't work, remove the lense and try it all over again - many times on these model's the problem lies in the lense, not in the body.

If neither works, consult a tech. But, expect more in repairs than you probably paid for the camera since these things are going for well under $300 these days.

I cant seem to change the shutter speed from 1/400. I have put a battery in. no matter what setting it always seems to fire the same shutter speed.

Sounds like the electronics are broken. A lot of cameras will fire the shutter at full speed if the electronics aren't working to slow it down. Take it to a professional shop.

Mamiya 645 Super mirror locked in open position

My mirror somehow got stuck open too, I removed the power winder and grasped the pins in the middle of the silver wheel underneath used to wind the camera. Turn this clockwise until it stops and shutter is completely closed. Test fire camera after. If it doesn't work make sure you wound it all the way.
