When worked with Hertz corporate I had major problem with Ford and similar condition on one Chevy - added one routine maintenance check - the vacuum line that drives the transmission - Ford had a metal tube that was pinched where it went over the transmission and Chevy had a problem that vacuum line was against heated item and burned to point it was hard and had leak. Both missed by mechanics and specialists. I traced line above and then elevated vehicle to continue the trace - modified with combination of flex and metal connector.

Check the wires in the diagnostic connector. Especially in the A & B slots. I believe the B slot wire is a ground wire-check it for integrity-may be broken.

Trans will not shift i have to let off the gas to get it to shift is the relay bad and were is it

Which transmission? My 87 with a Turbo 400 uses a vacuum modulator. In that case it's a vacuum line or the modulator that's the problem. The modulator is a little "mushroom" on the passenger side of the ******. Pretty obvious with a vacuum line going to it.

My 1987 Chevy r10 cranks but wont start. i was driving and it just shut off like you switched the key off. i have no spark and injectors don't energize as well.

It is most likely the ignition module, have it tested,if it test good, replace the pick up coil in the distributor, this pulses the injectors.

Transmission Control Module

Before condemning the transmission, I would check the shift cable for proper operation. Look at the side of the transmission where the shift cable attaches. Have someone shift the transmission from PARK to FIRST. The engine should not be running. If the operating lever on the transmission moves, then you probably do have an internal transmission problem. 78151957.gif
If the operating lever does not move, you have a broken shift cable or it has popped of it's attachments at the operating lever or gear shift handle.
A bad Transmission Control Module (TCM) would not keep it from shifting. In the event of a bad TCM, the transmission would go into fail safe mode and you could continue driving the vehicle.

After market power module for a 1987 Chevy Sprint

You might be able to find a turbo or purchase it from chevrolet. 1987-1988 there was actually a turbo chevrolet sprint it came in two colors red and white it boosted horsepower from 44 to 70 this doesn't seem like a lot but when you put it in a light car its gives it a boost. I do believe the turbo option was only available with the 5-speed transmission.
