Problem for Intel DG31PR Motherboard
Intel dg31pr motherboad not booting.
Hi all,New PC out of box, brand x case with intel dg31pr motherboard. After powering on I get ''Intel BIOS info 4 lines'' and pc stops, no POST. Lights on, fans all on. I took out mem and get 3 beeps (no mem) put back in. I unhooked sata drive and installed a known good ide drive w/os. Get same thing. Tried changing bios jumper from 1&2 to 2&3. Same. Any ideas on what to try next?Thanks for your help.

- After taking out processor, unhooking disk drive and dvd, I power on and nothing happens. The green light on the motherboard comes on. I checked some of plugs on the power supply w/VOM and no voltage. Power man 350w power supply, Kingston ddr2 800 1G, Intel E5300 Dule-core 2.6 ghz/2m/800/06. Thanks!Jun 09, 2009
- I tested ps by putting the red cable of the VOM in the red cable of the power lead coming out of the ps and the black into the black lead. After I put the cpu back in I got same result. I next pulled the jumper off the BIOS reset and got 4 beeps.Clarification Request

Unhook everything except power and your monitor. Put one stick of memory in and attempt to boot. Post here with results, what power supply you're using, what memory, and what processor.

- You have to have the processor and some memory in the motherboard or nothing will happen. When testing the power supply did you ground the pin to turn the power supply on first?Yes
