Question about Canon PIXMA MX522 Wireless Office All-in-One Printer
My Canon MX522 connects to my wireless network fine (D-Link router) when I push the button on router. I can print from my PC running Windows 7 fine. After a few hours or a day, when I go to print again, my computer can't connect to printer any more. It's like the printer "goes to sleep". Is this normal? It doesn't seem right to me to have to turn the printer off and on and reconnect to print each time. Any tips? PC is connected with Ethernet cable to router, printer is on wireless.

Do you have a firewall turned on that might be preventing your computer from communicating with the printer properly?

SOURCE: Wireless printing does not work
For an effective wireless connection, the printer should be connected to one of the LAN ports of a configured wireless router. This way, every pc(mostly laptops with wireless capability) can print to the printer. You will need a wireless adapter for desktop pcs to access any resource made available wirelessly ok. Good luck
