SOURCE: screen hinge too loose

a the base of the screen you may see some scews that cover access panels, open them up and you can tighten the little nut that tensions the hinge. I had a laptop that was shaky and I tightened the hinges and it was OK after that.

SOURCE: Acer Aspire 3613 cracks near hinges.

you can lift up the little round circles take out all screws, take top off, to lcd find the little gold nuts that the screws go into, try to put them back in plastic holes with super or gorilla glue,
or order screen parts on ebay, hinges usually get worse unless you find a way to secure those brackets attached to hinges

SOURCE: laptop hinges are loose

The hinges can be loose in two different areas, but the most popular is the hinge attachment point behind the screen bezel. Remove the rubber screw covers from the bezel, remove the screws, take your finger nailas and from the inside of the bezel pull gently to the outside to release the catches on the screen lid. Start on one side and work your way around the screen until the bezel pops loose. Look at the bottom of the screen and you will see the hinge attachment points. Tighten them up. If you have some locktite this would be a good time to apply it, remove the screws one at a time and replace. To replace the bezel, always start at the bottom and work your way up.

You can do multiple things:
1.) try defragmenting the hard-drive
2.) you can increase the amount of ram if not already maxed out
3.) update the drivers
4.) If all else fails there's always Linux

My laptop screen got very loose

Unfortunately laptop hinges are not adjustable to tighten. Laptop hinges have to be replaced.
Replacing a hinge, or both of them, isn't very tough, for details please click on this link :-

My screen is loose, i would like to know how to tighten the screen..

You can take the laptop apart, and try to tighten the screws of the hinge. But i think the hinge is worn. You can try if the warranty covers it.

Good luck, and i hope this was helpful ;)

Screen hinges very loose

If you pop off the plastic casing around the keyboard, you should see two screw ends on the hinges that should allow you to tighten the friction of the hinges themselves. Be careful to remove all the necessary screws from the underside of the laptop before removing the plastic case.

Monitor lid will not stay in position.

On most models the hinges are a pressed in, pressure brake type hinges, and when the hinge start getting worn to the point of not holding the screen, then they can only be replaced in order to fix it. You can sometimes get away with replacing just one. On some models there are screws on the hinges that come loose that can cause this. The screws aren't for adjusting, they are basically just set screws. You won't know which is the problem until you take the covers off. Most likely you're going to have to replace the hinges. Try Ebay for the replacements.

You may be able to tighten the hinges but usually they would need to be replaced.
