Question about Washing Machines
Machine doesn't fill on wash or rinse cycles. makes a noise on spin cycles but no agitation or spinning movement just the normal electrical noise it makes when its working. repair guy used a kleenmaid 'spring', I think he said something about overload spring??? I got 2 loads out of it with the substitute spring then the same problem. repairer says there are no elite 920 spare parts available. Is this true?

If the washer won't finish a spin cycle, it probably means that your timer went bad or stalled. You can take the control panel off and look at the contacts for scorching or corrosion.

The most common cause of machines stopping mid cycle is not draining. Your machine should have a filter behind the kick plate at the bottom.
If this is not the case please post back for further assistance.

Agitator's don't spin on wash cycle.
I would suggest washing the clothes without soap until they rinse clear. If you have hard water, the soap will not easily rinse out of clothes, or off of you when you use soap to wash or shower.
Reduce the amount of soap you use in each wash if this is the case. It sounds like your washing machine is working right.
