Screen shows the following message: Software Upgrade Application EJ304-0.81.6.0(dev). TV doesn't change channels and, when turned off, comes back on by itself after a few seconds.

First of all the software update may not have been done yet, when tv's go through an update (depending on which update) the set can turn it's self off and seem to be done, but you need to wait it out and the set will turn it's self back on, Wait it out for about 30 minutes before doing anything. be paitent. UNPLUGGING THE SET CAN DAMMAGE THE TV DURRING A SOFTWARE UPGRADE!!!
If after a LONG period of time try unplugging the set and re-setting the micro. But only as a last resort!
If the upgrad failed and you can't get the set to function properly you need to change the ssb board. If the set is in waranty, waranty should cover this.
