This may be happening because VGA cable is too close to a power cable.

I cant get it to work on full screen

I am having this same problem as this one above (62HM95). The issue I'm having is that it will also not work full screen. I selected the 'Split' option on the remote and the picture on the left is fine... absolutely clean and perfect, with audio. The picture on the right is completely distorted in very strange colors (mostly constant variations of purple), with audio as well. You should note, that the same video information was feed into different imputes to select for the split. In other words, I feed the cable stream into the TV using the component video (Y B R) as well as the coaxial cable and selected both options for the purposes of displaying the same information side-by-side. On screen I selected video option four (4 for color stream HD) and option (0 for cable/antenna). If I highlight either side and select one of them (4 or 0) the screen goes full screen and I see nothing but one solid color of purple. I've researched the purple and they call it 'Electric Purple'. That is all I see... just the solid purple, with the audio. What I have also noticed is that, If toggle between imputes while in the full screen option and come back to either option (4 or 0) the image plays/appears OK for about 2 seconds then goes back to solid purple. I just can't understand why this is happening especially when the on-screen menu displays perfectly fine. I cannot enjoy this TV by only watching half of it in split mode. Besides the multiple replacement bulbs I've had to buy I've completely had it with this TV

I was taking apart my computer and can't figure

All of the cords have different ends, so that they will ONLY fit where they SHOULD fit.

If two components have identical connectors (such as printer and web-cam),
you can connect them anywhere that they fit.

Exceptions:

#1 if your keyboard and your mouse have identical connectors,
connect the keyboard to the socket CLOSEST to the edge of the back-panel,
and then connect the mouse.
Note that the connector on the keyboard may be purple,
and the connector on the mouse may be green,
and the sockets on the motherboard may also be purple and green.

#2 your speakers need to connect to the GREEN socket,
and your microphone (if any) needs to connect to the PINK socket.

My solution:
Open the monitor. Take off the mainboard. There´s a supply board for the backlight under it.
Replace the two purple capacitors (150uF/25V). These are from a bad batch.

Also replace fuse F1 (lightbrown SMD-component) on the bottom of that board (near the long side).
It has blown as a result of the bad capacitors.

In my case the values were dropped to 25 uF. And the internal resistance (R) was more than 2 ohms.

That´s it. Hope it helped you.

Hate to dash your hopes, the chipset (northBridge) is Nvidia and the PCI express slots are also controlled by the Nvidia chips, the 2 pci-express are nvidia-sli supported.

Maybe it's something with picture settings, i.e. NTSC/PAL or INTERLACE/PROGRESSIVE SCAN.

Just because a machine has failed, there is no cause for you to call it a stupid TV. And as it is only 6 months old, why not take it to the Company service Centre? There must be warranty.
