Question about Televison & Video
I had a home VHS tape playing on the Tv and wanted to copy to a DVD. It was playing OK but colour was missing; only B and W. I thought maybe the tracking needed a slight adjustment and so pressed the remote buttons for tracking. But accidentally I must have pressed the wrong button as on the screen it said restore factory defaults?. I clicked on "yes" and the screen went blank. I have nothing on my tv at all now - no menu, no picture, no sound. I have checked connections, tried different outputs, but nothing. The other items I have connected to my Tv such as a simple DVD player, a freeview box, an ipad, all work ok so the tv is obviously working. I have tried totally disconnecting the Dawoo DVR from the wall, waiting and then re plugging in, but no good. Oddly the device still accepts and ejects DVDS and VHS tapes. The display panel on the DVD COMBO still gives messages such as play, DVD, VHS, ETC, and we can hear the DVD spinning. But regrettably no output.

Your DVD player should be connected to either the Yellow White Red connections on your TV set (same color to same color -- dvd OUT to tv IN )
OR it should be connected using the RF cables and connected inline AFTER the Direct TV Box....the box would block the DVD; and possibly the Direct TV Master box would apply 19 Volts to the DVD modulator....destroying the modulator.
Always OUTput to INput on the connections...
Also try with a new set of connections. make sure all the ports are ok.
Hope It's resolve all Problem,
