I would like to upgrade our DVD player with a blu ray that also has USB but the TV doesn't have an HDMI outlet. Don't want to replace the TV as it is still so fantastic! Any way this can be done?

If I'm not mistake, it's dependant on you monitor's ability to display 1080p. I believe the defaul setting on the 94TXH is to read the TV's max resolution and anything above will not feed.

SOURCE: Problems with Sharp Blu Ray Player "copy protected signal"

Possible solution: You set up your remote to run your amp from the TV control, using the AQUOS Link. Even though your amp is out of the loop, it's still recognized by the TV. You might have to reset the TV back to default and run the AQUOS Link again.

SOURCE: When attempting to update my bdp-120 blu-ray

You need to format your usb memory device which will mean that everything will be erased from it so move anything you want to save first. Before you attempt to place the file on the usb device again make sure it has been unzipped first.

SOURCE: I have a bdp-430 Blu-ray disc player from pioneer and it will not read any Blu ray disc

Hello
If it reads and play all other format discs, that is, CD, MP3 and DVD.. The laser pickup unit is faulty. Check your player can read all region DVDs with it. OK.

Can I connect my Blu-ray player to a tv that does not have an hdmi plug outlet?

Yes, IF your blu-ray player has another form of out-put like RCA jacks that match what your TV does have. Use this format. By not being able to use the HDMI port from your blu-ray player will only hinder video quality. Your tv that doesn't have a HDMI port already tells me video quality wont justify what your Blu-ray is capable of. Hope this helps.

I have a toshiba tv and a sony dvd player and i want to know how to install the jacks and if i need the hdmi cord

It really all depends on what else you may have hooked up and, what inputs you have on your TV. If you have an open HDMI in on your TV, I would use that because you will get your sound and vidoe with one cable(HDMI). If you don not have an open HDMI port on your TV, component cables are the your next best option video wise. The component cables do not carry sound so, you would have to get your sound by using,(best) digital optical or RCA. After looking at your player, your best picture would be using component and, it says it has SPIDF out but doesn't exactly specify what kind but, if you don't have the component cables, use youe RCA jacks(yellow), video out, and red and white(left and right audio) out from player to suitable input on TV. If I looked at the right player, there is no HDMI out on it.

Invalid format error with P1600 blu-ray and LG LCD TV 42"

It may be a firmware issue if hdmi works with other items such as playstation.
If no hdmi the main Pcb hdmi ports are bad and the main Pcb would have to be replaced.

Consumers cannot upgrade the firmware so a shop would be the only option.

How to connect BLU-RAY DVD player to Pioneer Plasma TV via HDMI

The best possible solution to your problem is :
Connect your blu ray player directly to the HDMI input of you Plasma and watch HD video....
and connect the 5.1/7.1 sound thru the optical or the coaxial link directly to your AVR 3805.
You will not loose anything on the Blu-Ray.
The sound is best processsed by the AVR3805, while the video, which is the real upgrade (BluRay) in terms of resolution of picture would be processed by your plasma.

Connect and Enjoy
