2011 f150 want start just click has new battery worked fine yesterday today want start just click

Possible internal starter problem. Try tapping on starter motor while key is held in crank position. If vehicle starts, suspect a starter motor problem and replacement will be required

Cannot start loud fast clicking noise

Clicking noise would indicate starter solenoid faulty! This would also be the case if battery low but since you have a new battery you can look at the starter solenoid!

New battery and car only clicks like bad battery

Check both ends of the battery cables to insure they are not loose. If this isn't the cause I'd take it back to whoever installed the battery and make them fix it. If you installed it yourself and a loose connection isn't the problem I'd let a dealership mechanic check it out.

Charge up a new battery and installed it. Tried to start and only get a clicking noise

Hi Jeff,

Welcome to Fixya.

Double check all the connection wires from the battery gioing to the starter and going to the ground. Clean the terminals if there are any corrosion.

Try tapping the starter using a hammer while someone is turning the key to start the engine and see if it will start.

Let me know if this helps.

Car won't start. New battery installed recently. Only clicks when trying to start.

one single click any time you turn the key usually indicates a bad solenoid on the starter. A new starter will typical get you going.

A series of rapid clicks when you try to start usually indicates a weak battery. There could also be a bad connection at the terminals on the battery or even a poor connection at the starter.

If you get a single click and everything goes dead for a couple of seconds than you definitely have a bad connection at the battery.

Let me know what you find or if you have any questions.

CAR CLICKS WHEN I TRY TO START THE ENGINE

The starter will click like that when there isn't enough juice in the battery to turn the car over. Try jump-starting it, take the cables off the car right after it starts. Turn on the headlights right away. If the lights are dim or go dim after 5 minutes, then you need a new alternator. If the lights stay bright, drive it around for about 10 mins. Turn the car off and try to start it again. If it clicks again, you need a new battery. If it starts up, you're good to go - you must have just left something on and drained the battery.

While trying to start my 2002 jeep liberty limited edition 2wd 3.7l engine I only get a click, after any number of clicks it finally starts.

It sounds like you need a new battery. If it's a 2002, then it's probably on it's second battery already and due for a new one. The clicking is the starter solenoid trying to engage the starter with the flywheel. If the battery can't supply enough "cold cranking amps" or "power", then it makes that clicking noise.

My 1999 new beetle won't start

Sounds like the battery is dead..Sometimes you have to clean the jumper cables and terminal on the battery to make a good connection try that and let your battery charge for a few minutes before trying to start it. If that doesnt work you may have a seized starter! Good Luck!
