SOURCE: HOW CAN I MAKE 12 VOLT RUN OFF OF ELECTRIC AT THE

If this box is part of an RV, the factory has probably also provided a transformer and rectifier to supply ~12 VDC when connected to standard AC mains. Switching it to the twelve volt setting should be all you need to do. If it isn't cooling, check your breaker box to see if it has tripped the breaker circuit it is on. If you find no tripped breakers, it is possible that the rectifier has failed or possibly the lousy wiring one finds mostly in RVs.
If there is outside access to the area of the fridge, open it and check for a good-sized transformer in that general area. If you can locate it, you should be able to make some measurements with a cheap digital multimeter to locate the problem.

My 2003 VW Jetta air conditioning is cooling for a few minutes and sometimes longer and then it stops cooling. The fan continues to run but the compressor apparently stops running.

Have you watched the compressor in action? The compressor is driven by the fanbelt which turns a pulley on the compressor shaft, but there's an electric clutch that disengages the pulley from the friction plate attached to the compressor shaft. You should hear a click when the clutch engages and disengages. Do you hear that? Can you see the friction plate turning with the pulley or does it stay in one position while the pulley turns? If if works for a bit then stops turning, you may have a damaged friction plate such that it doesn't engage with the pulley. Take your car to an auto A/C specialist and let them examine it. It's also possible that the relay that sends 12 volts to the clutch is intermittent and needs to be replaced.

Compressor won'T turn off

Could the on/off switch be shorted? Could check with a volt/ohm meter, or remove and replace.

A/C Compressor won't turn on Can jump compressor from battery and compressor comes on & cools. Hi pressure switch checks out ok and 12 volts going to hi pressure switch no voltage to compressor

the high pressure switch kicks the compressor off when the pressure rises, the low pressure switch kicks it on, check that switch, unplug the wire and use a continuity meter to see if the switch functions, also check for power getting to the plug itself

You're going to need a wiring diagram to be able to follow the logic of the cooling fan circuit. Working on electrical without a diagram is like going to a strange town without a road map....won't take much to get lost.
