Question about Thermofocus Home

Open Question

The school nurse took my son's temperature with the thermofocus and then added a degree and said his temperature is 99.7. Is she correct in doing that?

He doesn't seem to have a fever but she said he does because you need to add a degree to what the reading shows from the forehead.

SOURCE: Room temperature reads 95-99 degrees F, not cooling the room

one hose is the heated condensing air and one hose is the intake air. if this unit is not working correctly and u just purchased it take it back. if the landlord will replace it tell them. do not call a service tech to check this unit out if u know 4 sure the temp is set right and it continues to blow hot and the exhaust hose blows outside and the unit is set to cool you are money ahead to replace it. hopefully a landlord or recent purchase can bail you, you can find these units at home depot lowes and get them 4 about 400 dollars. hopefully it's covered somehow by warranty or landlord but the cost for checkout and service will exceed the cost for replacement. have you tried to unplug the unit leave it unplugged and try again. have u cleaned the filter. have you noticed ice anywhere. maybe a light that tells you the drain is plugged i don't wan't to get you're hopes down when you are burning up but check these things and let me know if u see any abnormalities. do you leave the unit running in hopes that you will come home and it works? check for ice is there air blowing constantly? if u dont get air flow you could have a fan thats out or its iced up. let me know.

Does anyone know about RN to MSN programs?

I think if you contact the school you're interested in directly, they will be able to tell you about financial aid and tuition costs.

Do you have a BSN or a 2 year degree? If you have a BSN you don't need to limit yourself to RN to MSN programs. These programs are for nurses who did the two-year school and sat for the NCLEX and have experience in the clinical setting as an RN, but want to go on with their eductaion.

I went to an Ivy League out of state for my BSN/MSN (I was coming from another career and already had a professional degree) and I can tell you the costs were ridiculous. By the time I'm done, I will owe well into the six figures.

The great thing about nursing is that regardless of cost, when you come out able to sit for the NCLEX. So the expense is worth it, because as a nurse you will ALWAYS be able to pay the loans back. You will find more information in here about RN to MSN.

LOOKING FOR MECHANICAL OR DIGITAL HEAT THERMOSTAT WITH 65 DEGREE MAXIMUM LIMIT OR THERMOSTAT which can be programmed with code to stop tampering and changing temperature above 65 degrees

HEY< When I worked for a large co. with offices of women of different sizes (yes, that has a lot to do with people changing the thermostat for the correct body temperatures) ,we left the old thermostat in place and called this a '"DUMMY THERMOSTAT" and unhooked the wires and added a new thermostat at the inlet air at the unit out of sight! We asked them how they feel, and as long as they thought they controlled the temperature, they were HAPPY! thank-you-very-much!
