How to remove extension on pole chain saw

im gonna assume this is one of them pole saws that lets you get the bottom limbs without a ladder , next im gonna assume (and have too since you didnt mention a mfg or model) that you would like to colapse the shaft back down to a more manageable length , also im gonna assume theres no visiable dammage to shaft ,wrinkes in metal or broken clips , locate the joints in shaft with your eyes , this should be obvious , see if theres a small button or clamp visable near this , press in on button or clip and pull firmly shafts apart it should seperate and come apart , carefull not to smear grease all over your clothes in the process , install any covers or caps that come with it (most do) so that dust and grime doesnt get into joint

How do i pull the poles apart?

If you have a bath, I suggest that you run a couple of inches of hot soapy water and leave them to soak for half an hour. When you take them out twist and pull the tubes at the same time.
If they still do not come apart hold at 45% to the floor and tap one end lightly on the floor (not so hard that you damage anything) turn a little after each tap, then try again to twist an pull them apart.
When you do part them clean the joint where the tubes touch and then rub will a little cooking oil on a piece of kitchen roll, makes them easier to part next time.

How do I put the saw on the pole

1. Remove battery from chain saw.

2. Separate main handle from chain saw

power head by pressing both release

buttons on main handle and pulling

apart. The release buttons are just in

front of the trigger.

3. Align rib on chain saw power head with

groove in power head adapter on pole.

4. Slide power head into power head

adapter until units "snap" together.

IMPORTANT: Both release

buttons on power head adapter must be

fully engaged.

5. Align rib on handle adapter on pole

with groove in main handle.

6. Slide main handle into handle adapter

until units "snap" together.

IMPORTANT: Both release buttons

on main handle must be fully

engaged.

7. Slide battery onto main handle until

release buttons "snap" together.

Be sure the battery is charged.

To extend the pole:

1. Loosen the clamping

lever. Pole will slide

freely.

2. Pull inner pole section out to desired

length of extension.

3. To lock pole in position, tighten clamping

lever.

Got the basketball poles stuck together and theyre not aligned

Dropping the stuck poles definitely WORKS! We had stuck basketball poles from a Spaulding 54 inch together wrongly. Dropped them on grass from shoulder height 4 times and they loosened enough to pull apart.

HooverSpin Scrub and the brushes always stop spinning.

Greetings from GoVacuum,

The Hoover SteamVac's are notorious for this exact problem. There are several things that can be causing this probelm.

First, what you'll need to do is take the brush block out of the machine. To do this there are 4 clips on the brush block. You will need to turn the machine upside down, and pull down on the brush block to where it won't pull out any farther. There are 4 clips, 2 on top, and 2 on the rear of the brushes. (See picture I have circled one of the clips in red). Simply press these clips at the same time, and pull the brush block out of the machine. I'd say that 60% of the time that I see this problem, the main issue is that the brushes just need to be cleaned. If you have pets in the home, a lot of the time the pet hair will just be lodged inside the brushes, will prevent them from spinning. Use a pressurized water hose with spray nozzle is ideal) and spray each brush with water to dislodge any pet hair. You should be able to get these brushes spinning when you spray them. Spray each brush until the brushes are spinning pretty fast. Re-insert the brushes into the machine, and test to see if the cleaning has fixed your problem. If the cleaning still fails to fix the problem, take the brushes back out of the machine.

One you have the brushes out of the machine, the first thing you should look at the brush stem that goes into the turbine inside the machine. This is the green pole pictured in middle of the brush block. Examine this pole to determine if the top of it has broken off. It should exactly how the picture shows it. Make sure that the plastic has not broken.

If the pole has broken, you will simply need to replace the brush block. If the pole is not damaged, the next thing to try is to turn the machine on while you have the brushes out. Look inside the machine, where the pole goes into the turbine (also important, make sure the switch for the brushes is turned to "Rotating Brush Speed Hi), this female receptacle should spin when the machine is turned on. It is important the try this when the foot pedal is released, and the handle down, and not in the upright position, as there is an internal switch that shuts the brushes off when the machine is in the upright position.

If you notice that the female receptacle where the brush pole is inserted is spinning, then your turbine is fine. If this part is not spinning, then most likely you will need to replace your turbine.

I hope this helps you with your problem. If not, please feel free to request a repair clarification and I'd be happy to walk you through the diagnosing. I also can provide you with a blown up parts schematic to your machine, please just get the model number off the back of the machine and provide, and provide me with the full model number. I would be happy to provide any technical support you need, just request a clarification on the repair.

Putting it together

Ok these are tricky, so what you need to do is check your poles and connectors. You should have long poles and assorted connectors.
A bit of mathematics and you'll have it done in no time.
Ok lay out the poles and sort into longs and shorts.
Sort the connectors into 2 pole connectors (straights) and 3 pole connectors (three way)
Now check the angles on the three way connectors, sort them into groups. some should be slightly angled, these are the roof connectors and the others ones are 90 degrees and or more squarish these are the floor corner connectors. There should be 4 floor corner connectors and There will be two connectors that fit onto the end of roof front and back of the tent.
Sort out your poles and work out how many you need for each dimention. Basically your tent is a cube with a triangular prism on the top so you will need enough poles of even length to make the base and top bit of the cube and then even lengths of poles to make the upright sides of your cube. There should also be 4 four way connectors for attaching the roof. the top of you cube is the base of the triangluar prism.
Hope this helps. TIP once you get this together, MARK the conections with NUMBERS EG: 2 / 2 / 2 one number on each bit (the connector and each pole that is attached to it), this way when you pull it apart you can reconnect it much easier later on.
