Do you have paid membership for the Yahoo services ?
As I know it will be only then available if you have Paid membership.. for free user Yahoo did not provide email Snynchronising with Outlook or Thunderbird.

If it works, then one of the "add-on" programs is "hijacking" your web-browser.

Or, you've got a computer-virus on your computer.

It has changed the file: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC\HOSTS

to access 'youcansearch' (by IP-address) when you try to access the Yahoo web-site.

When i click on the mail button it just goes into a continuous loop and won't open the page. it just keeps redirecting over and over again.

since it is a website issue
try to delete cache and cookies to see if that works incase it does not
