Canon ij setup

I have a Nexus 7 and I have downloaded the recommended software and they are both on the same WiFi network but I can't get them to connect.

This could happen if the port that you are using is not the right one.

When you are using a printer wireless, you need to use the Standard TCP/IP port, to setup a printer port, do the following

Right click on printer icon, select properties
Click on Add port, select new port
Enter the IP address of the printer, this can be obtained by printing the settings page from the printer.

Note: please setup a static IP for your printer, else everytime you restart you may endup with a new IP

Hi im trying to connect my laptop to my canon MX410 printer and keep getting this error message - An error occurred while files were being copied.: 0200 0000 Done the set up as per manual 4 times now...
If that computer has internet access, then try updating the driver. In windows 7, go to Start -> control panel -> system and security -> system. Device manager is on the left. If that doesn't help, try a different USB cable, or better yet, try that first.

Can' install the printer...on windows 7premium
Check the Canon WEB site for a Windows 7 printer driver. If there isn't one for Windows 7 then try the Vista printer driver. It may work but may not have all the functions.

Printer not detected with Wrt54g2
Fixed it. I saw another post by someone, who had detailed step-by-step the setup proceedure with regrds to wireless. First, make sure printer is connected via USB to PC and everything works.

Next on printer, select settings, then device settings and Reset all network settings.

Next, run the CD-rom, select region, and then select Easy install when main menu appears.

Nest select only the most essential drivers, MP drivers and the Canon IJ Network tool. Select & reinstall the MP driver (main driver) and Canon IJ network solution tool.

Once they are installed. Run the Network IJ tool program, follow the setup to activate wireless.

This is how my MP620 finally worked.
