If you are able to open the unit and access the laser mechanism then i would recommend using isopropyl alchohol (available from chemists and good camera shops) and a cotton bud. Isopropyl alchohol is particularly suitable as, unlike commercialy available tape head and laser mechanism cleaning fluid, contains no water and evaporates after use. Using a cotton bud, dip one end into the alchohol and lightly wipe the laser surface in a circular motion. Then, reverse the cotton bud and repeat the action using the dry end (although the alchohol will evaporate this helps to remove any crud you may have released). You may care to repeat this procedure if the laser has never been cleaned before. Hope this helps.
Hello, you haven't been handling your device with care. Please, avoid touching the readable part of your cds with your hand. Get you lens cleaned. For me, I use water to clean any of my lenses. My trick: Use a cotton bud (for the ear), dip the cotton bud partially into clean water, Do as if you are flapping the cotton bud, in order to remove the water droplets. Use the cotton bud to clean your lens very gently. Next use the other dry end of the cotton bud (which should be very neat) to finally clean the lens. Leave you device for 5 minutes, then try your neat cds. Sure, this helps, and dont forget to rate me. Thanks a lot
Hello nicfurtaw, there are dried ink on the ink carousel, or cradle, you may need to soften the ink. Use cotton buds, dip into warm water and gently wipe the ink hole where the ink pass through, until the carousel is clean.
remove the black ink cartridge
find the spot where the ink pass through
see dried ink on it.
use cotton buds dipped in warm water to soften the ink.
do this several times
clean enough, test to see if the black ink will pass through
There are two reasons for bad smells. 1. Long time not being used. 2. Lack of cleaning inside compartment.
Solution: Unplug fridge. Keep open fridge door. Dip a dry cloth in soap water and start cleaning each and every compartment. Keep freezer door also open. And then clean with another dry cloth. Keep both doors open for nearly 5 hrs. It will be enable fresh air to **** the smell inside fridge. After 5 hrs close the fridge and run on empty for one hour. Keep food items after one hour. Please keep all food items closed vessel. Not only it's avoid odor but also be hygienic. If you use to keep fish items in freezer, clean fridge once in a week.(Spray roo spray in the room when you keep fridge door opened. Don't spray into fridge.)Helpful.
Get a cotton bud and dip it in a dilute solution of washing up liquid and clean water. Place the bud in the centre of the lens and rotate it counter clockwise cleaning off the dust/gunge etc Allow to dry thoroughly and then test.
Hi sometimes DVD/CD drive become dirty of dust falling into leses. Try This first !
Prepare 1 Cotton buds (clean one) 1 ply of tissue
1)Dip i side of it to Pure SWAN ALCOHOL or cleaning pure alcohol 2)touch 3 second of cotton bud to tissue (this to ensure excessive alcohol absorbed to tissue) 3) eject your cdrom drive 4) use cotton bud, scroll /rub/ twist the bud onto the shiny lens, be careful not over excessive force over the lenses. 5) rub again with dry bud.
try this: delete epson c43sx drivers then reinstall them then go to the Epson web site and look for an updated driver, if that does not work take the whole cartridge harness out, under the harness you will see a contact board and you will see another one on the printer, get cleaning solvent and a cotton buds, dip cotton bud into the cleaning solvent, turn cotton buds sideways and clean the contact boards on both the cartridge and the printer, clean until and refresh cotton buds until you get a a clean cotton bud tip, let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes, reinstall the harness and try again, if that does not work you could have a main board problem contact Epson.
