Door latch on door itself is in closed position if it will not close at all. In this case, open door and pull outside handle hard to pop open door latch. If you have door opening at random, door latch needs replacing or door catch on body is loose.
The door lock uses electrical power to keep the door closed. Unplug the machine from electrical power and the lock will be released in a couple of minutes. Please be sure not to flood the room if the water level inside is above the door level.
Regarding the E13 error itself, it means too long draining time, and it can be caused commonly by something stuck in the drain filter. To get to this filter and clean it, you have to look at the lower part of the machine and remove the circular panel, then insert a little screwdriver into the hole and twist , the acces pannel will get open. Now twist the handle of the filter and pull it out. Now it can be cleaned. CAUTION: opening the filter will cause all water inside the machine to get out, so have some towels handy to avoid water to spread all over the floor.

filter should be removede by turning filter counter clockwise,as if "unscrewing",so to speak.no need to shut off water or anything, just unscrew-tip:might be easier to remove by removing ref. grill. ref. grill removes easier by doing this w/ both doors open
it is in the grill at the bottom of the front of your unit. you can see it when you open the freezer door. start by removing the lower plastic grill by grabbing the grill and twisting outwards on it. then the filter can be removed by turning the filter, top to the right. when you put the new filter in in place, it should sound like water is running into the unit. then replace the grill.

You said, The ice maker in my whirlpool gold refrigerator Model No, GR2FHTXTBOO, is not working.
How old is the fridge? When have you last changed the water filter. Should be down below at the front grille! Try these tasks!
If the ice maker is not producing ice or not enough ice Refrigerator connected to a water supply and the supply shutoff valve turned on? Connect refrigerator to water supply and turn water shutoff valve fully open. • Kink in the water source line? A kink in the line can reduce water flow. Straighten the water source line. • Ice maker turned on? Make sure wire shutoff arm or switch (depending on model) is in the ON position. • New installation? Wait 24 hours after ice maker installation for ice production to begin. Wait 72 hours for full ice production. • Freezer door closed completely? Firmly close the freezer compartment door. If the freezer compartment door will not close all the way, see "The doors will not close completely." • Large amount of ice recently removed? Allow 24 hours for ice maker to produce more ice. • Ice cube jammed in the ice maker ejector arm? Remove ice from the ejector arm with a plastic utensil. • Water filter installed on the refrigerator? Remove filter and operate ice maker. If ice volume improves, then the filter may be clogged or incorrectly installed. Replace filter or reinstall it correctly. • Reverse osmosis water filtration system connected to your cold water supply? This can decrease water pressure.
