SOURCE: JBL Subwoofer - Intermittent operation

Sometimes bad caps show a lifting or rounding of the top of the cap, sometimes this top will split from heat and pressure and sometimes it will not show any sign of damage but will be dry inside and its capacitance value will drop to a very low value. Replace the big power supply caps and test again. Get the same size, value and voltage rating. You can go higher on voltage rating and a bit on value. Getting a similar size or something that will fit in the same space is important also.

SOURCE: JBL Venue SUB10. LED light

This usually indicate a power supply rail, failure, and or a main amplifier has "Blown". You need to take this unit into a JBL repair shop, contact a local or head office of JBL, and ask them for a referral to an authorised service center. When in face to face contact here, ask them only and first off for a "Quote" as to the prospective repair costings and go from there?

SOURCE: Describe your Venue SUB10 Subwoofer

You can remove the screw near the volume knob and the screw near the on/off switch - then slide out the amp remove the black and white wire - then check the fuse - if its blown look for we repair amps - ebay - if its good then it probably still needs work - it should turn red when plugged in and no signal and green when signal is present - which means amp is on.

SOURCE: JBL PB12 will have loud thump or pop!

First try to find the source of your problem. The easiest way would be to try your sub with a different audio source to see if the problem still occurs but is sounds more like there's a problem with the receiver.

The subwoofer by DT ProCinema 600 doesn't work

I had the same problem when I wanted to swap my PCicon1.png 1000 for the PC 2000. The later interfered with my view on the tv. What I did was raise the tv on a couple of pieces of MDF. I painted the edges of the MDF to match the tv stand. Looks great - is very solid as far as support for the tv - and allowed me to get the PC 2000smile.gif

Power is on ,but no light on the radio or sound

It would help to know specifics like models and if they ever worked correctly.

How long and how loudly are you playing it before all this happens?

Does the receiver feel unusually warm when it dies? If so, is there proper ventilation around the unit so it can cool itself?

What light on the radio goes off?

What light on the subwoofer are we talking about? Do you know what it means? It could be telling us that it has lost signal, not surprising if the receiver quits.

Better clues will lead to better answers.

Subwoofer goes to sleep

The receiver automatic speaker set-up set the sub volume at -12 and since it was not getting any signals from the receiver it was doing what it is supposed to be doing (going to the standby mode). This was troubleshooted by Onkyo tech support on a Sunday. All the best about Onkyo customer support.
