After I have installed my 256MB PC2700 DDR SODIMM RAM and started up my Inspiron 1000 it ran ok for a while. Until five minutes later a blue screen poped up saying, Physical memory dumping. I didn't get to read the rest but it said something about removing any new hardware that was recently installed. So I just ignored it and thought the computer just glitched or something and turned off the computer. When I turned it back on, it said cannot find sysconfig file. So I took out the Ram and still did the same thing. I could not start my computer up. So I had to use the Windows Xp Home Edition CD and restart the whole system again. The Inpiron 1000 works only when my new Ram is not installed. I have no clue what the problem is, Can anyone help me?

My desktop did the same thing but i don't remember installing any new programs. Im not sure how to start deleting "junk" on my computer when that blue screen is up. Wondering if there is a way to bypass that some how and clean up my computer to fix it. Any Help??
